Uh oh. You know they're in trouble when they start dropping the M-word. "Momentum" was Sony's favorite word last generation when the PS3 was being trounced month after month in NPD reports.
That's what people were hoping back when Unreal Tournament 3 allowed mods on PS3. Nearly a decade later, one game is doing it. Fallout mods on consoles will likely be very limited. You can work around mod jank with raw hardware beef on PC, something you won't be able to do on consoles. There will likely only be weapons and skins and stuff (nothing adult, of course). High res textures and the myriad of more advanced mods would likely cripple the console versions.
Problem is that gamers are generally sheepish betas, living their lives avoiding as much conflict as possible, terrified to question or rock the boat. That's why crap like this keeps getting worse. They might bitch and moan in public among like-minded fools, but their wallets do the talking at the end of the day.
Destiny is a perfect example of this behavior. It's a game that has been purposefully modified and managed in such a way that it has become completely abusiv...
I really don't like it. The trackpad is not functionally equal or even really comparable to an analog stick, let alone a mouse. The "D-pad", if you can even call it that, serves no purpose, either. Valve is trippin' with all this janky hardware. "Consoles" without a customer base and the worst controller I've sullied my hands with in the 25+ years I've been gaming. Would be nice if they'd use these resources to make games instead.
I'm reluctantly keeping my PS4 in the hopes that Sony has some pretty good exclusive titles coming in 2016 and beyond. They have a proven track record at being the best in that department, so I'm willing to look past the current lull in content.
I bought a Wii U for Bayonetta 2. Game was awesome. GOTY 2014. Sold the console after Nintendo essentially just used E3 2015 as a platform to collectively shrug their shoulders. I'll consider the NX if things change.
I've saved a lot of money and grief ever since I wrote off EA following Mass Effect 3. Buying their games isn't even an option for me mentally, like they just don't exist. This game was the biggest disappointment of the year for me. The original is one of my all-time favorite games, and I didn't even get halfway through HM2. The map design is a huge hurdle, making the experience a tedious exercise in looking around every corner before moving, and still likely being blasted by somebody off-map, as opposed to the excitement of rampaging room to bloody room in HM1.
Already own Tearaway Unfolded, but I guess I'll pick up Until Dawn at that price. It did say for Prime members only when I added it to my cart, so it might not be available for everyone at that price.

Agree. I'd prefer less games be 1080p on PS4 if it meant they could push higher frames. Dunno about going all the way down to 720p, though. I mean we're basically back at last gen at that point.
Hah, Batman and Ubisoft. That's not a loaded comparison at all. Batman also runs like crap on anything short of a Titan because of how badly it was ported and Ubisoft couldn't make a good PC version of a game if their lives depended on it.

The statement was too real. It was honestly kind of surprising to hear he even said that, knowing that Microsoft in particular always have to project this image of themselves winning on all fronts at all times. Yup. Any time I had a good "AAA experience" on my Vita, I could only think about how much better it would be on some hardware with nuts. It's best used for pick-up-and-play indies, in my experience.
Consoles aren't a priority for Japan, despite 2 of the big 3 being Japanese companies. There's a flood of visual novels and stuff making their way to Steam, but primarily they're concerned with mobile. Different landscape over there.
