im affraid that this game could be overhyped. Dont you still remember Assassin Creed 1?
pre-order are useless. Even for collector/limited edition since MOST of the time you can buy these editions at a slashed price a couple of months later.
Just to give you an idea, i recently bought the epic edition of gears of war 3 for 30$ at best buy.
Its basicly a marketing thing. Pre-order this game and get this dlc for free...
it can be anything... it doesnt mean its dlc for bioshock... I hate when people make assumption and try to make news around that.

at launch? I think it will never work on ps4 unless you stream them i guess.
The ps4 is really different from the ps3 so... to make them work developpers would probably have to work on the game again.
I think the best sony could do is to do something like an emulator for the psn games like what they do with ps2 games. From what i heard every ps2 games you buy on ps3 have an emulator attached to the game.
