no, just like when Bungie stopped making Halo, i stopped buying Halo games. now that KL and Irrational stopped making Bioshock games, ill stop buying Bioshock games. i made the mistake of buying Bioshock 2, it was a mediocre attempt to capitalize on the Bioshock license. Bioshock and Bioshock Infinite aren't about the idea of more Bioshock, its about these great stories KL has written that happen to take place in this universe. i don't care to play games that 2K forces to be something...
what would really be amazing is if Fox News could tie together news with actual journalism...
he NEEDS to make a Spawn video game happen. it could easily be a cross between Devil May Cry and the Batman Arkham series in terms of gameplay.
Todd Howard is absolutely famous for saying "install base DOESN"T MATTER. if install base mattered, everyone be making board games because there's a hell of a lot of tables in the world." lol. so i don't doubt for a minute that Todd Howard and Bethesda's next game will be PS4/Xbox One and PC only. remember Bethesda launched Elder Scrolls: Oblivion on the Xbox360 in the first year of the consoles life, as well as on PC and then later on PS3. so i don't think anyo...
once again games are being compared to movies as if gaming itself as an art form is dirty and unwanted. its embarrassing to see next-gen game after game trying to be movies instead of embracing the strengths of gaming. im sure the order will be a good game, but this inferior complex game developers have when it comes to making games as a medium needs to stop.
not sure i really get why the author would think Call of Duty needs a reboot. basically Call of Duty is rebooted every release. each Call of Duty is somewhat different enough from the next to be considered a slight re-imagining of the series. i would like to see much older franchises from the SEGA Genesis or Nintendo SNES rebooted like Base Wars, Road Rash, or Chrono Trigger. those would be some really cool ideas for games in the 8th generation of consoles.
considering Sony has Killzone SF, Knack, Infamous SS, Drive Club, and The Order 1886 coming out all in the one year window of the PS4 launch; i don't really expect any more Sony first party games to come out in 2014. Uncharted 4 definitely has a late summer/early fall 2015 vibe. i cant really imagine too many people expected Uncharted 4 to release in 2014.
lol didnt even notice doing that. good catch +bubble :P
i will stay skeptical of SAGA and the ALIEN property until this game is released and reviewed. SAGA and that Aliens Colonial Marins trailer fooled me once lol, fool me twice and...
well that logic is only used by you. i wasnt bringing up Sony 1st party games because the article was about gears of war. but sure, obviously games like god of war need to be retired as well. i think your trying to find a fanboy argument where there isnt one. i think sony and ms both need to stop pumping more money in games that have already been played out.
yes. why is this series even relevant in 2014 and beyond? its been a trilogy and a prequel, what more is there to this series that couldnt be achieved by creating an original ip. seems like Microsoft is really phoning the exclusives in at the moment.
who's we? lol. joking aside, its the Call of Duty mentality of certain gamers. for whatever reason a certain portion of gamers enjoy and find nothing wrong in paying for annual content. i find this practice detrimental to the gaming industry because it lowers the standard as to what is acceptable content for a $60 retail game. i also dont find that sports games even make a good case for annual releases. i always liked EA Sports Big games like NBA Street Vol. 1 and 2, or The Bigs, but the ...
seeing The Wonderful 101 only selling 49K right now hurts lol. such a good game, maybe its lifetime sales will jump over time once the Wii U install base grows in years to come. either way the fact that there are 5 million Wii U's sold and only 570K copies of Super Mario 3D World bought is bad, it should at least be at 1 million copies sold. Nintendo needs to host a Nintendo Direct soon and start releasing some major information about secret and known games to generate some interest in th...
if anyone's actually played Super Mario 3D World, they'll find the game is very clever and innovative when it comes to level design and challenges. but at the same point, i can see where you can become accustomed to that "Mario Platfomer" formula and feel the series is old in offerings. it would be great to see Nintendo make a game based off the formula the NES classic, Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars 3 Flags, used and apply that for a Wii U Mario rpg game. it'...
nintendo and iwata better address the issue's of the wii u in the next direct, that means talking more about games in 2014 and future games. i dont want to here "please understand". its time to either state your plan for the wii u or not.
agreed.
maybe one day ill understand why people pre-order a game without knowing the content or quality of the game. i think people are just impressed with the option to throw money at their screen for no reason. just wait till the game comes out and buy it instead of pre-ording a game that doesn't even have a trailer yet.
another year in the twilight zone of America where big banks, oil companies and retail conglomerates somehow get passed up by EA as worst company in America. unreal.
sony just sold 4.5 million ps4's by the end of december and ms just sold 3 million xbox ones. its not that people are unaware of nintendo's wii u after a whole year of being out in retail. its that people just dont really care. im not saying that to flame, im just making a point that if two consoles that have only been out 6 weeks have outsold the wii u's total sales already, its not because of the lack of marketing, its because of the lack of interest. all the blame should be poi...
give me another 50 cent video game. Bullet Proof and Blood in the Sand were fun as hell.
