I agree. But I think they had good reasons to get confident. The thing is that they were talking while PD wasn't around and essentially taunting something that was non-existent and unreleased. It's easy to do that.

They should have waited till GT5 was out to make some of the claims they did.

Of course, that's PR talk for you. In the end Forza is still a great game, so let's not forget that sales don't matter to gamers, but Turn 10 had this coming.

Solid, valid review.

Good luck finding decent arguments, people would much rather hide behind disagree buttons anytime something negative is said against something people like. It's best not to take them seriously since they can't manage to engage and confront your point.

I think if Sony focuses ads on Heavy Rain it may end up with negative repercussions with who they are aiming at. TV advertisements should be aimed for the general, clueless gamer, and I think that it's hard to market and explain a game like this in short ads to general audiences.

First of all I don't think a Kevin Butler ad would do. It would totally offset the aim of trying to explain the game, and though he is funny Heavy Rain is far from "funny".

The only reasons fanboys exist is because they are insecure of their own system and feel threatened and possibly jealous of the competition. Instead of embracing competition they desperately try to find anything they can to glorify their system and bash the opposition. And the concept is not old. What I personally find most surprising is that it's common for kids to be making these investigations-- simple people who rage on the internet. Whatever happened to just having fun?

And it's also very childish and revealing of a person. To think that people walk the earth with the mindset that they embrace one principle and use that lens to be blind to all other things is very scary and makes me wonder about the broader picture.

I usually find "console wars" or fanboyism happens between really young children, but I'm surprised to see how many grow adults who should be a little more rational have such radical attachments to a company.

Though I'm not sure if it got approved.

Why exactly is MS discontinuing Xbox 1 Online? I don't get it, don't a lot of people still play games like Halo 2?

And I could swear that Playstation Online for PS2 is still going...

Hell Dreamcast still has online, though I don't think it's Sega-approved.

No I didn't-- however, the article title has little to do with MGS as a whole. Of course I assume talking about Konami's sales would be much too boring and stating something like this title is bound to get hits. Sorry, but I just have a problem with the way things get approved.

In all honesty though, if other games can depict sexuality in a condescending manner and with no other purpose than to adhere to the "sex sells" principle I see no problem with sexuality being depicted in an artistic manner.

@Blaze

Exactly. Video games are seen as immature and something kids do. It's somewhat true though, but that doesn't mean it isn't enjoyed by a diversity of people.

The only thing shocking about Heavy Rain is that it uses s...

Not trying to be. I'm just trying to engage the topic.

The title was a bit misleading. I was pointing it out, until of course someone like Madden started crying about trolling instead of engaging back. Didn't know this was the Open Zone.

The conclusion of this article was that MGS is the best selling PS3 exclusive. How is this new? Sorry if I hurt your feelings, you ironically troll on my comments only when they say something anti-Sony. You must also think reporting news is trolling since you don't like it when I question anything PS3-related, and quickly resort to troll-labeling.

There is nothing new in this article. People know this, yet it gets approved. I just wanted to know Why?

I had a huge background piece of wood or something, and some of my most mechanical parts were glued with the wood, so when the mechanics would function they would jam or something with the wood causing the wood to break and disappear which resulted in everything else falling down.

Or so I believe, I never really found out what the hell the problem was, but the background piece kept disappearing, I'd hear that little crunch sound anytime something broke, and the whole level went d...

Spending over 15 hours making an LBP level just to find out that in the end, the way you glued all the things together resulted in the whole level literally breaking and falling down.

I was so shocked and didn't know how to fix it so I had to trash it.

15 hours down the drain. I worked really hard too, but I guess it's just a learning experience.

It wasn't a bad game, but that level was probably the biggest waste of time I've spent in a game this generat...

I actually agree with that. MW2 is truly a piece of crap... compared to CoD4.

See, I think CoD4 was such a great game and I expected SO much more from IW.

Notice that I said I enjoy both COD and BF for their attributes, but not MW2, more so COD4 which was very enjoyable.

I usually hate when people say CoD or Halo is for noobs, because it isn't and realism isn't a factor in games. It's hilarious how people rag on CoD for not being realistic. It's a video ...

It's so annoying when personal opinion goes into an article title.

@pimpmaster

Actually, you are right. I suppose it's easy to be offended by the title, but it's not stating anything wrong. I'll take it light-heartedly, though I can see the paranoia that the title will create.

Gee, Don't I know it.

It's funny how criminal it is to like something as if you are expected to behave in certain "Sony" or "Microsoft" ways.

I find the article to be a bit random. It's like the author is thinking out loud. We can sit here and write all these wise words about how dumb console wars are but really, I don't really care. I don't laugh at fanboys for liking one console, I laugh at them because the way they think is shockingly mentally ...

Enjoying the demo a ton.

Couple things:

-I don't like the fact that the defending team can damage their own stations with explosives, though I don't mind the fact that the attackers can

-Spotting is much too easy and really takes away the skill of spotting players manually. It needs to be attainable in smaller intervals, maybe once every 20 seconds

-I want to see my health. A little silly that I can see other people's health and not my own--...
