Well with this last game you can see in the campaign what they thought was important. Big flashy scenes, lots of booms, a "complex" story (said VERY loosely) and an "AMERICA FUCK YEA!" attitude. Yeah a change in netcode is needed. But if you look at the tournament scene, it's all offline anyway. So I don't usually count the online mode as part of my judgement.
