I think alot of the glitches and people glitching had most to do with it. If they didn't spend so much time trying to create an economy then removing "ep1czglitch187's $25 million" every 5 minutes, we might have been closer to the date.
I say it was 50% glitches 25% paranoia of the glitches returning and 25% next gen, once they realized the time frame.
I agree, that was the ONLY series that didn't make it to PS3 that I loved on PS2, all the other ones came over. Damn, I would even settle for an HD remix at this point.
