And I hope it stays that way. Even though I bought the last 3 Killzone games on Day1 I really hope that there won't be any HD remasters for these games ...they're simply not good enough to justify spending resources on them.
I think that these guys are able to pull of a very convincing open world with their attention to detail. We might not get something massive like Just Cause 2 but rather something compact and immersive like Skyrim. I really hope that it's an RPG in a non-scifi setting so that they can try out something completely new for once.
Burnout or GTFO
I'll start to cry if they are making another Need For Speed.
I agree, comments like these are unnecessary. We just can't know who will have the best and from my point of view it's stupid to even argue about it before the actual event ...E3 lives from it's surprises and it's kinda lame to discuss who will have the best surprises ...just sit back and enjoy the show, there will be something for everyone.
Well I don't mean this in a bad way but they took more than just a few mechanics from the Souls series so comparisons were to be expected... the core components of the combat system including animations, parrying/blocking, critical strikes, and even the level design looks like a copy of the Souls-concept. I really hope they can use this base and create something even better out of it but they certainly won't win awards for their originality.
Wallrunning, nice :D Some pretty cool stuff in there. I loved Dead Island so I'm really excited for this. It's just a shame that soooo many amazing games are coming out in the same timeframe :/
Woohoo great way to spend all these billions of revenue - a new underwater monster! That's the stuff people care about... /s
I don't think it will be literally "darker" but rather more mature, cinematic and yes, intense. Like they said, it will be a logical evolution of theír last few games and everything they learned in terms of storytelling and presentation during these years. I still expect lighthearted dialogue and likeable characters just as much as an interesting plot and breathtaking setpieces.
If there's any developer out there that should have our complete trust it&...
Finally someone who says it how it is. I can understand that some developers are trying cross-gen but their games would be just so much better if they wouldn't have to think about last-gen limitations.
Looks just as fun as Road Rash was + splitscreen multiplayer :O
Now I only need to know whether it's coming to PS4 ...I can't get used to local multiplayer on PC.
The multiplayer was actually pretty good. I thought the single player couldn't come close to GoW3 though. The series is far from done, it just depends on where they go with it now.
Indeed, that's the first bubble I gave him.
I never thought that he went to college as well. Pretty surprising considering his comment history.
Well no surprise if you almost give the latest RPG maker away for free ;)
I contributed to that and my brother is currently spending a lot of time with it. There's even a competition on GAF going on because of it

It costs the cinema personnel, electricity and possibly heating. Sony must've paid a few hundred dollars per cinema there's no way around it, so charging up to 5$ for it wouldn't hurt anybody.
@Abriael: I think so too but it's probably also varying per cinema so I'd say we're somewhere in between 500 and 5000 dollars each. Still very expensive even for a huge company like Sony.
I thought so too but I'm not completely sure that this is the reason for this campaign. I think the main reason is to strengthen their presence in the US where Microsoft had the upper hand during the last few years. Most of their marketing seems to be focused on North America so this is probably just a strategical move.
Still I don't doubt that they'll have a tremendous E3, maybe even their strongest yet since there are a lot of possible megaton announcements tha...
They actually did it, that's crazy good marketing to say the least. I still think that they could've charged a few bucks for it... this campaign probably cost them a few tenthousand dollar to rent all these cinemas. Still I'm sure it will pay off, this will generate lots of hype.
So many good games on sale, I'm almost tempted to give in despite having a huge backlog already ...
And the sad thing is that the media at that time was praising it ...only to critizize it a few weeks later when everyone was complaining.
There's no way Sony will support Occulus on Playstation as long as they want to sell their own VR headset. Morpheus will certainly run on PC though, either through official support (unlikely) or through the usual modders that can make anything run on PC.
