finished it today, what a great expansion!
if you still don't have a ps4 i highly recommend getting it as it finally reaches the mass market price of 199$. alternatively if you do own a ps4 already i'd recommend getting the VR skyrim bundle for 349$ during the special black friday week. you get the new revised PSVR model, ps camera, 2 playstation move controllers and skyrim VR. that is crazy for the price suggested.
it's not an opinion it's a fact that EA will destroy Respawn
why are people surprised that a 1080p game on the X1 runs at 4x the resolution on the X1X when the we already know it is capabale of that by the numbers?
UBI AND ALL OTHER DEVS I HAVE THE SOLUTION! and it's called CHECKERBOARDING! the ps4pro has about enough capabilites for 1800p with this method and the X has enough 2160p with additional upgrades. honestly checkerbaord is such a great method i don't get the lack of it's use here.
actually it's more worth it to purchase that then the GOTY, you get the game for 19$ + DLC for 20$ (15$ if you have Plus) which sums up 34/39$, cheaper than GOTY edition.
doesn't matter, if a version performs worse with dips in performance below 30fps very occasionally, it does not deserve an 8.5 no matter how you look at it.
the DLC is so great and so harddddd i'm having such a great time and i'm using my explosions a lot more than before, i think my strategy has been refined while playing this DLC entirely. such a great expansion on such a great game, GOTY just keeps on getting GOTYer
this month is probably an xbox win (new console usually means winner for the time, even if it's iterative) and maybe the next one, BUT, i wonder how much will it hold up in the coming months afterwards in 2018.
well it is not really no cpu competition this is only one build they are doing together, they still have seperate builds using only AMD/ intel + nvidia.
if you already own a ps4, you can buy the skyrim PSVR bundle and still have money left for a AAA game
to summarize:
1. the X resolution is dynamic
2. goes way below native 4k in a lot of intensive scense down to 1296p
3. the pro is usually locked to a 1440p although it does have a dynamic scaler but not as frequent as the X at all and it is on 1440p when the X is at 1296p.
4. the X has worse texture filtering but a bit of improved geometry compared to the pro
5. performance on the X is worse than the pro in gameplay when the pro is almost always lo...
i really hope that it is true and that sony can manage to get 12TF in that machine + zen cpu + fast enough memory for it.
PLEASE NO X BASE MODEL!! The X is still using jaguar cpu tech meaning that All games would be locked to this gen design and not the next one (i dont want the game to just have upped settings but a design based on the console abillity). Also its problematic for MS to market that a game runs on the X but not on the S
but but but i thought GENERATIOLESS IS THE FUTUREEEEE /s
it was obvious MS don't worry, with new cpu architecture comes a new console, what that i do want to know is when MS would want to release their nextbox.
for sony, while i was a believer that it releases fall 2020, i have lately been hearing repeating rumors pointing more at 2019 than 2020 (also makes sense when you think about the fact 2019 would be a lot better game wise than 2020 for playstation so they could do...
well they still push VR, a year after it's release, i think it's fairly clear they have massive profit out of it.
be aware that the 500m figure is the headset alone! add to that the rest of the accessories and software and you'll see why sony pushes VR.
i'm watching their stream i missed and they confirmed there will be lots of suits, even some surprises.
actually using nintendo's 32 GB carts costs the devs more than 20$ (confirmed by insiders)
actually exactly what GG said: 15 hours, but i still have a few side quests left to complete and all the collectibles, but i don't think i'll continue, enough for me, now to just wait for the obvious sequel.
