Interesting video. I could help but notice this statement:
"In 2012 pc digital game software revenues will be 68% of all pc digital game software revenues"
In addition, my dog is 68% of it's age.
It's like buying a value meal at McD's and then having to pay for the ketchup.
I make it a point not to buy games like this. When money meets big business, honesty goes out the window.
Sad thing is, most people don't have a clue. We are the minority here, and gaming is going blockbuster. The masses will gobble up whatever they are fed, leaving discerning customers with no choice.
Sorry, my comment was a mistake
I felt my comment was too vague, so to clarify:
trounbyfire asked Kon if he had only one bubble at some point in time. Kon anwered this by saying he had four.
I was trying to subtly point out that Kon saying he had four bubbles doesn't answer the question.
Obviously he has had a number of bubbles other than four, 3 being a required number since he now has 2. Nowhere in this logic comes the conclusion that Kon DID NOT HAVE 1 bubble, ever....
You also had 3
I tried to watch power rangers as a kid, but my parents wouldn't let me. They thought it was too violent O.o
@ambientFLIER
It's doesn't have to be one or the other. Many things factor into the behavior of kids, including things like this game and tv shows.
People like to blame a problem on just ONE person or ONE thing, when in reality MANY things contribute to most problems.
The built-in stand did it for me.
EDIT: Firing made easy! -- As if pressing a single trigger isn't.
I can see how it would be handy to be able to perform any function while using both analogs though. Somebody out there is probably gonna get really good with this thing.
In the bigger picture, I don't like the idea of selling advantages.
spoiled brat
I honestly can't believe the 'gaming world' has grown enough to have it's own culture.
It's kinda weird.
The first article I ever saw by HHG mentioned something about trying to get a show on t.v. if I remember correctly.
I didn't think twice about it then, but here he is. Pretty impressive to see someone stick to their guns until they succeed.
He is living the American dream i spose.
Sick women aren't allowed
I think we're all a little bit crazier than we like to let on :D
One thing is for sure, we are creatures of habit. Most of the things we do are done "just because". We are still largely animal in nature I fear.
I think there are more subtle effects with video games as their cause, but this can be said of anything.
It's kinda like tv; Most of us watch it and would deny that it influences ourselves in a significant way, yet we know t.v. alters societies behavior as a whole.
Video games don't change "who I am", and I'm not gonna go out an kill someone due to this very fact. I am not a murderer, will never be. I'm sure most of you would agree t...
People should take your attitude with regards to clean/renewable energy :D
I think we can all agree it's a good thing in the end, let's make it happen! Use the money for a PSP2 to support green technology instead!
Seriously though: I like video games as much as the next guy, but when do we quit? Shelling out 400 bucks for something so extravagant seems wasteful somehow, especially considering the general LACK of money in the U.S.
Our ...
I often have a difficult time remembering maps in some games, but in real life I can navigate just fine O.o
While watching this video, I realized what a good job they have done in making maps "feel" like a real space. The atmosphere really held the environment together, making it easy to map out in my mind for some strange reason.
In other words, I recorded what I was seeing in the video as if it was in person.
Wish I had a 3d tv .....
Some of the files probably got corrupted while he was downloading them. I don't think that's a rare issue, really.
He should have just followed the advice he asked for. Re-downloading the game would likely yield uncorrupted files. PROBLEM SOLVED.
Guy just wanted to argue...
Really, we shouldn't be "used" to the idea of having a PS3 at all. It's an amazing world we live in, let's not take it for granted.
Next time you turn your gaming console on, take a moment to dwell on its existence. Not only is it an amazing feat of engineering, but the mere fact that YOU can use it for entertainment is something that we should not EXPECT to be an option.
In the end, the PS3 is one of the many miracles of nature. We hap...
Capitalism GOT US HERE. Now that we have the technology we do, maybe it's time to think about tweaking the way things work.
It is foolish to assume that capitalism will be the best solution for eternity because it helped us out of the dark ages.
