If you have a modern pc, a $150-$250 upgrade to a better graphics card(and power supply, if needed), is enough to trump consoles. Better yet, installation is as simple as plugging in the graphics card and inserting a cd.
It's actually easy and inexpensive to get started on pc gaming if you have a decent computer already, just thought I'd put that out there. Also, games are consistently cheaper on pc, and services like steam really take it to another level.
When I was a young kid and every game looked like garbage, my imagination was enough to keep me immersed in the game world. Hell, I got immersed in the 2d sonic games somehow.
Where has that gone? Why does "edge shimmering" matter so much to everyone all of a sudden? I understand that it's an improvement, and can see it myself, but if that's taking you out of the game you're playing it wrong imho.

I raged on the inside about helmets the other day, and how morons like you have declared it socially unacceptable to protect a major organ with a simple and effective device.

People have really been fixated on this. I'm kinda surprised at how big of a deal it is to some people.
Saying exclusives should be done away with is saying you only want 1 console on the market.
The market in China will have an influence on future console generations, it'll just take time. If this console does well, another company might want in on the market.
It will be interesting to see if an entirely separate group of competitors will be born.

This game is looking to be a disappointment. Origins was one of my all time favorite games, but I just cant help but nitpick this one. It seems like a bad impersonation of the first.
In the end, the DLC bullsh*t is what sealed the deal. I make it a point to avoid rewarding game companies for ripping me off. I might purchase this game when it drops in price substantially.

Specific ps3 exclusive titles obviously have an advantage over similar multi-plats, graphically speaking. If I were choosing between two similar games on any system, graphics would be on my checklist.
