Sure do wonder what will happen to all the DLC for GH:WT when the next version comes out. Activision has never allowed the DLC to carry forward. I'm not spending $$ on something that will need to be replaced in a year.
Not sure how the numbers are determined, but based on what I see in the real world, there is no way GH:WT has outsold RB by so much.
GH:WY might have a better initial setlist, but it is rough to find people wanting to play. Everyone I know seems more focused on RB.

Really, death is better than torture? Personally, I'll take the torture if I live to see another day... But hey that is just me.
Seems the author might need to a break from WOW if he is having such a hard time with what is a game and what is reality. Give me a break... What a non-news worthy event.
Plus I have to wonder if the guy has even played the expansion or is just reporting on hearsay. There are no quests needed to unlock the Nexus. My healer was required, I swapped toons, the group at the summoning stone, summoned me from Shat and off we went.
There is no reason to buy this game. Very easy to finish the game in an evening or two. Plus, there is no replay ability and no multiplayer. Why spend $60 for this game when there are so, so many other new titles out there that will offer much more bang for the buck.
This is good news. Now many people are in the new SK/Nihlum guild? 100? So 25 people beat the content. What kind of lives do you think they have? If they have jobs I bet they aren't making enough to pay for child care, mortgage, and car payments. Do they even have families? Maybe these top players will quit WoW for another game. Maybe they'll develop social lives outside the game. Who knows? I am sure Blizzard won't notice 10,000 or even 100,000 hard core players leaving.

Bombo is right on. EA has always sucked. The true test will be how many idiot gamers out there support this model. Big companies tank all the time. With the decisions and announcements made by EA and Activision lately--gamers can only hope those companies are on their way down.
As one of the gaming sites mentioned, the only thing that will kill WoW will be Activision/Blizzard--anyone want to take a stab at how long until WoW implodes from corporate greed/mis-steps?
I've got em both. My experience has been the Live crowd is a little more mature than the PS3 crowd, not sure if the $50 membership or simply a factor of the games I play.
If Cliff really wanted 15 year old boys, wouldn't he be developing for the PS3?
The referenced article speculated that perhaps the only people having problem with Fallout3 are the actual pirates.
The pirate version of Fallout3 installs and plays with no issues--no need to uninstall any CD software. (nero, daemon, roxio, etc.)
Have to agree it was a very cool event. Sucks that the folks that got their panties in a wad were so vocal. I'm trying to level a new toon to 70 before WotLK, so I experienced 1st hand the annoyances. Easy to get around, and what are a few more corpse runs while leveling?!
hate to read Erza has died. Very cool of Blizzard to support Make-A-Wish and bring a little sunshine to Erza's life before his death. My condolences to Erza's family.
Oh and the obligatory--"Can I have your stuff?"
WAR does have it strengths, PVE and jumping on late night for a little chill play are kind of non-existent. Bottom line for me is although I like Mythic, I don't trust EA and figure at some point (probably this time next year) EA will step in with an executive plan to make the game better, which will in essence destroy the game for those that have the last year invested. The ol' SWG effect if you will...
I would find the DRM more acceptable if UbiSoft added the bullet point that in a year or eighteen months a patch would be issued to remove all the DRM.
Isn't DRM to stop the initial wave of piracy on release? After eighteen months, give the consumer a break...
The ads have been in Burnout Paradise since release. Can't remember the name of the ad company, but they work with EA. Any time you connect to the Xbox Live or PSN networks, if EA has new ads, the billboards change. I've seen the billboards change several times during extended play cycles.
i.e. just because a certain billboard in your game shows something, it does not mean a fellow gamer will see the exact same ad.
Stay in school, get a job, and buy both consoles....
Too bad the 18 to 34 gamers don't vote!
Technically, if you want the collector's edition to retain its value--the box can never be opened. Where is the fun in that?
I have sealed collector's editions of Ultima Online and Star Wars Galaxies. Guess how much they are worth...
Pretty sure the only one doing the collecting is the publisher collecting cash the suckers that pony up the extra dough.
Don't be a rube!
I'm sure we will see lots more "hero" classes. I know after leveling a DK, I'll never be able to go back and start an alt from level 1 again...
