The severe lack of reliability of the PS3 and 360, the gradual downfall of great devs such as Capcom and Squenix, not to mention the diminishing creativity in most devs that came about this passing gen, all contribute greatly to why I believe it is one of the worst generations for gaming.

I don't even know why this is an issue it's a "video game" people need to stop acting as if every misrepresentation of their respective religion or beliefs is some kind of vicious attack by the non believers.
For games to evolve as an art form they need to be allowed to tackle such controversial subject matter, not be made censor such things for fear of upsetting those who wish to see issue or insult where none were intended.
The real problem is that Capcom are morons, they weren't always mind you it's just that most of their talent have either left or jumped ship, so they are all in a fluster to keep their populer franchises going even though those who originally created them (i.e. the talented ones) are no longer present.

I'm in a rather unique situation here, I have a dead PS3 and a whole bunch of games I haven't played or finished yet, I can either buy a PS4 and forget about my old games I paid hard cash for or I can by a PS3 and play them.

What a lot of people who are defending Sony's decision to not include BC are forgetting is that there are very easy and cost efficient methods to include it.
MS's 360 had an emulating ability that could read the hard disc copy of certain games and play them from a downloaded source, it wasn't perfect and only worked with selected titles from an expanding list but it was still BC, so why not incorporate such a method or at least a similar one for the PS4? I was really against the reboot but I gave DmC a chance and played it from start to finish (I didn't pay for it though, god no! I didn't want Capcom or NT getting any of my cash)

I have 6 bubbles and I've criticised Nintendo, Sony and MS pretty harshly, maybe it's because I'm not overly biased to any one of them. Anyway, the thing is that none of these company's are perfect and if I don't agree with something they're doing I'll voice "my opinion" everyone is welcome to challenge my opinion or anyone's else's for that matter, but they shouldn't try to dismiss it if it ends up conflicting with their own.
