The point is publishers complaining about the second hand game market. Forcing people to buy new so that they receive more of the piece of the pie. Like if you go buy Tiger Woods new, you get all the online features by putting in a code. When you get it second hand, you have to pay to get the online features. Its technically not fair because you have still paid for the game. If they introduce subscriptions, that's taking it one step further. We as gamers are getting punished when we haven...
You should read all the article. Its not about what we get now, its about what could happen in the future. Changing the online pass to a subscription based service. How it could affect gamers!
but if you are buying the same game over and over... whats the point. you are paying for the same game every year. Groundbreaking is one thing but clone after clone is another
You really dont know the writer. If he says thats it, thats it. Unless they do something radical and take a gamble with some new style of gameplay and something completely different. I wont be bothering either
I think Activision has gone a little too OTT with the whole franchise and this article voices that. Too much of people buying into the whole thing. The best thing they did was WaW with the zombies. It was different and loads of fun. I tried MW2 but the MP was screwed and I just didnt get the whole game.
Noticed how you dont see the screen or the game that they are playing....
Love that advert
Its like an old wives tale. Training someone to be a soldier promotes violence. Playing a computer gamer or watching tv with violence doesn't make people less sensitive. I have been been doing it for 25 years and I haven't wilfully gone out and hurt anyone. These people are so insecure about their own moral compass that they project that fear on everyone else. Rose coloured glasses are what they wear all the time it would seem.
People are just plain stupid, they will ...
@enkeixpress Bungie will do everything they can to get it to a minimum. Yeah they cant stop it but I for one have never had a match where someone has used exploits and so far I have put in quite a few hours into the game. You make it sound like everyone is doing it and you never get a game free of it.
There are more people using exploits on the likes of Call Of Duty than there are on Reach.
I agree with kaveti6616 they will fix the problem as fast as they c...
@ImpartialMan I wouldn't class myself as an Xbox or PS3 fanboy, heaven forbid a Nintendo fanboy. I like games, I play games, I use my laptop for anything like browsing the net and such. I am a gaming fanboy. I don't distinguish between consoles because lets face it, there are good games on both making the fanboy argument redundant.
I don't think either console has the better exclusives when it comes to the PS3 and the Xbox. They both have exclusives that all appea...
@TheLastGuardian I completely agree with T9X69 but there is something that he missed so I thought I would add to it.
People buy a console because they want a console, they dont want a DVD player, Blu-Ray player, web browser etc.. they want a console. All the extras is a valid argument but when you can now get Blu-Ray players cheaper than a PS3 it doesn't seem like a bright idea to get one. Most people would rather use their laptop or PC for browsing the net, that's wh...
Too many RPGs to chose from but none on the list are immediately jumping out at me other than fallout vegas which I will more than likely reviewing. I agree that some games are missing off it though, I can think of far better ones than the ones listed.
So its ok to be a Nazi in Call of Duty and kill people or a Russian in MW2, but its not ok to be a Taliban in MOH.. thats called double standards. Nazi's for one killed far more than the Taliban have stretching over several years. People are stupid, this guy is stupid. ITS A FRICKING GAME! He knew what was in it before he got it so I think he should make piece with that. If people are that bothered about it, dont buy the game and moan about it.

"Making Mario games is easy" Yes course it is you one trick pony. Sick of playing the same game over and over.
could not agree more, only these fanboy idiots that pretend like they have shares in Sony are the ones disagreeing. Each console has its good points and bad, anyone that thinks different is uneducated and totally has a one track mind with no rational thoughts at all.
and I find it amusing that people will disagree with me yet wont respond.. I wonder why?!
There is only one way that Sony can secure a lead above the Wii and 360 but it will involve them losing money, something that they ain't prepared to do and never have been. No amount of fanboy articles will change that. No amount of 10 reasons why the Xbox is rubbish, no amount of 10 reasons why the PS3 is awesome. The way these PS3 articles pop up you would think the people are getting paid by Sony.
Are people that desperate for hits that they will write any old rubbish ...
I kinda agree, a review should have no preconceptions about a game, but you have to include some opinion, otherwise how can you advise people if its good or not?
I wrote the article and even though I am opening myself up for abuse this has to be said.
When you buy something you own it. If you buy it new or used it don't matter. I agree in part with Blaine that developers should get more money, thing is, should it be from the gamers who have bought second hand? we haven't done anything wrong. In short, we have just picked up a bargain. This is why I mentioned constructive solutions that could be implemented. Charging the compa...
