Charging you $180 for a hard drive.
Thank you and goodnight.
What was the poorest rumour control article I've ever read. Most of those rumours didn't even exist. They just made up some stuff that was obviously not true and "de-bunked" it - e.g. "it might be like prince of persia" - well no s*** sherlock!
On a better note this games looks very impressive. The only thing I'm worried about is how long the game will last, especially with no multi-player (which was a another crap excuse for a rumour they made up on the ...
This game really does look next-gen. It's nice to see some developers getting used to the PS3's hardware this early on. Now all we have to do is wait for a price drop and some more first party games looking like this and the Ps3 will be golden.
Mmm actually looking back to Crash and his outfit, this guy brings back fond memories and his look is probably testament to how fun Naughty Dog games were/will be! :D
I saw the vid a couple of months ago and looking at it again today I can say it's made me 10x more excited :D
...either that or this is fake. If it is real though, I think Jack does a better job at being a comedian, rather than a lawyer.
not Drake's Fortune... please... call it any name except Drakes Fortune. I'm beginning you Naughty Dog - remember all the fun we shared in Crash Bandicoot; it's so good to have you back, but please, for the life of me, don't give that beautiful looking game a name like Drake's Fortune...
Oh, and make the main character look a little less pansy-ish - he looks like he's just been out shopping at H+M; not exactly an outfit that a hardcore tomb raider would wear... :\
I agree with him at the end (why did only state it in the end though??) that immersion is very important. Photo realism is a way of immersing the player, but it isn't the only solution.
I was playing Half-Life 2 Episode One for the first time the other day, a game which doesn't have the most up-to-date and certainly not photo-realistic graphics. The graphics did not capture me in the way that say, the up-coming Band of Brothers may. What did was the emotion which was exhib...
Raise the age of buying cigarettes up a measly 2 years even though they are proven to rot your body, but ban video games because they allegedly rot your mind. Funny how the government earns far more tax on cigarettes than video games...
If I play Conker, I laugh.
If I play F.E.A.R, I scream.
If my teammate dies, I feel bad (not for too long though :p ).
If I'm stuck in a room with firey demons, I feel peril.
If I play GTA, I'm dealing with drug offences.
It just looks like Sony are trying to over-do themselves with this kind of thing, when we already have games that challenge our emotions.
It's like saying "We need cliff-hanger movies which make you bite your nails"...
All we need are games that are given accurate age ratings, and shops and parents who won't let kids buy over-age games.
I'll listen to that producer when he creates team-mates who can actually use cover properly and don't get themselves killed in the first 10 minutes of the game.
Personally I like both games but one thing I can't stand is fellow games companies speaking ill of each other.
We've been waiting for this for ages!
It's cool how the head of Epic personally came and offered his apologies - great community
Nice
The title of this article is misleading.
The conclusion from the study was not that video games have a proven link to violence, nor that they "rot" user's brain. The only conclusion that can be drawn from the study is that those who were playing a supposedly more violent games had decreeced activity in the pre-frontal cortext (the part of the brain that maintains restraint). Why this wasn't the case for the racing game I do not know, as that would require the same level of ...
I am boycotting EA for this reason and will boycott any other company who makes customers pay for items that are allready on the disk.
Woo Borat!
That's one crappy review. They probably don't have the final build - it's a small site and everything the guy talk about is far too vauge. Wait until the real reviews (Gamespot, IGN ect) come in.
By crappy review I don't mean crappy game. I'm expecting Gear to get at least 85% at the minimum. But the review itself is trash.
All companies are guilty of over-hyping and giving false promises about the next-gen, but I think it's safe to say that the main culprit is Sony
Oh, and I didn't pay less money than I would normally. Some people think that by importing a product you get it cheaper. No. You pay import tax.
I imported a PSP from Lik Sang because I didn't want to have to wait extra time for it and it came with a UK voltage adaptor and socket adaptor. Fishy.
Sony say it's for safety: I don't think so.
If Sony got their acts together and managed to release consoles which didn't have 6 month gaps between regions then people wouldn't be importing in the first place.
I understand about shutting down their modchip department, but going the whole way? And people say MS are bad wit...
So basically all they're doing is adding WiFi into it and charging and arm and a leg for even though every other console has it?
