Nah... I could see it becoming an AppleTv like streaming Device that will stream games via the cloud. All of it's power will come from the cloud. It will be the only console to surpass PC graphics.

Yup especially for those with an Xbox One and PC
BC is something that we should demand from console makers. a lot of people sell their 360's or ps3's to be able to afford the next console. not having it makes it hard for these people and hampers sales. I know a lot of people dumped their 360 within a week after MS announced BC. Maybe they won't ever use it but just the thought that they'd still be able to play their old games is enough to trigger them. they don't feel like they lost it all.
If a Samsung Android phone can do it. Xbox One can do it better.

Rare Replay alone has over 30 games.
Almost literally countless indie games(they showed over a 100 indie games of which most if not all are console exclusive, exclusive or first on Xbox)
There are over 20 games that support Backwards compatibility
And then there's still a shitton of AAA exclusives.

It's pretty much what pogmathoin said. People don't even know what crimson skies is. It's not gonna sell well. That's the truth. That is also why Killer Instinct didn't get much marketing and got the semi-f2p model. They were not sure how many people would actually play it and it would have to compete with Mortal Kombat. I think more people loved it than they thought though

I too am sad that it wont have splitscreen but i do understand why they did it and it's definitely not "simple".
They did because they were focusing on making the game have amazing graphics and it does. If they throw in a splitscreen mode they probably have to throw out a lot of the eyecandy.
Look up Microsoft Project DeLorean. I predict it will launch next year on Windows 10 devices including phones. 5 years will be enough to improve it significantly.
