It won't take the lead but it definitely improves the Xbox's image dramatically. That will also help with sales.
It still has a chance to catch up or come close. This gen won't be over for another 3 years. The only thing PS4 has on the Xbox One is first party games. Xbox has better services like EA Access and Game Pass, PS Now is a joke compared to those, its almost a scam really. Better online infrastructure, Player created tournaments, Xbox play anywhere, cros...

The X isn't missing anything. Its just a more powerful Xbox one For those who care about that.
Xbox in general has been lacking in exclusives this year. But we know that's going to change soon. Phil said theyre going to buy and build more studios and he has been keeping all his promises. No reason not to believe him.
They obviously didn't take full advantage of the hardware. Even the draw distance is the same. Even the PC version doesn't have that much difference except In shadows and draw distance, side by side you wouldn't be able to tell which is which. But this isn't surprising, ubisoft is a known supporter of parity. The game still looks insanely good though. The engine must be a beast, it's just too bad we don't get to see its full power on PC or Xbox One X

When developers were lazy because of the cell. Xbox 360 looked much better. When they optimize for cell they were even.
Don't worry they probably will. And the Xbox One X2 will be the better version again.
Its the ram man. Its at the level of a GTX 1080. The GPU in general sits between a 1070 and 1080.
Only thing that seems to be holding it back is the CPU.
Hopefully devs will get used to the CPU soon so well get more 60fps titles. The witcher 3 reaches 60fps in a lot of areas without optimization. I'm sure with some time they could keep it 60fps.
