Even then, some will fail. Even more will be quite different to the original pitch. That's the nature of the gaming business. It's been happening for years behind closed doors the only difference is now we're exposed to it.
People need to realise when you kickstart something, you are investing in it, not buying it. That does mean your money may go up in smoke.
To avoid that happening as much as possible, I absolutely agree people should research a...
@XabiDaChosenOne That would be many people on n4g. You knew what lastking95 meant anyway but I'll bite.
I have seen many people berate the console or game they see as the 'opposition' for prioritising frame rate or graphical effects over resolution but when the manufacturer or developer they are best buds with does it, it's all smiles and rainbows.
Argh! I don't understand N4G. You CAN'T disagree with him enjoying the campaign. vikingland1 can enjoy what the hell they want.
It's very,very similar to the first. There's more 'stuff' to play with but it was more of a tweak than anything. Even uses the same city.
I agree. It was excellent. It was just that bit too different for some DMC fans.
If it was its own game, not tied to devil may cry, I think it would have been very successful.
It's a shame. Ninja theory have developed Heavenly Sword, Enslaved and DMC and none have brought them great success despite all being excellent games.
I Think that's probably more to do with the disparity in power.
The architecture is so similar and most engines built to be cross platform from the ground up that it would be almost inexcusable if the disparity were to do with there being a lead platform. I'm not even sure there is a 'lead' platform in the traditional sense any more.
You're partially right of course but game development is very different now compared to the ps2 days or even the early days of last gen. Used to be that developing for more than one platform was a big undertaking.
It's no where near as difficult to develop for more than one platform especially with engines you can buy into that are built for several platforms. Hell with unity, compiling for two different platforms is almost getting to the point where you are selecting...
@AceBlazer13 Niche JRPGs would go to Sony even if there were more xboxes out there (i.e. exactly what happened last gen).
It would take more than that to convince Japanese developers to develop exclusively for a non Japanese company (see early mistwalker games last gen, Scalebound this gen)
For the most part, Jack Thompson was cast as a religious nutcase on a personal crusade against something he doesn't understand in my opinion. The only time he was allowed to look human was when taking to his son.
Houser was definitely the 'hero' he was just portrayed as a flawed genius.
It wasn't the best show in the world but is was pretty entertaining. Not sure really what all the fuss is about.
You've got it in one. Many of the PS4 fans are actively happy that other people have it worse than them instead of being happy that the game was upgraded from 720p to 900p.
Not all, I hasten to add, but it's easy to see which from their comments.
Revelling in others misfortune. Kind of a bit antisocial don't you think guys?
Anyway. I can't wait to play MGSV. Just gotta decide between PC for the graphics or XBONE to play with f...
While you are correct, the comment is unnecessarily trolly.
There is a measurable difference between the two so given the choice between the two there's no getting round that.
That said, when the action starts, I agree that there's not enough difference for it to be night and day.
The main differences between playing on my PC and my XBOX tend to be from the other graphical effects and texture resolution.
@zsquareoff
Bubs for you. Not often I see someone concede a point on the internet, particularly without offering some kind of put down with it.
How are you even getting disagrees? Nothing you've said isn't factual.
I don't understand some people...
@Angeljuice
@LightofDarkness
At no point in the game text does it say either of the words 'cure' or 'pill'.
These words are used in the article and only serve to show how the author has completely misunderstood.
Read the actual text from the game (they quote the whole lot in the article) and then judge for yourself.
I'm not even sure it's saying the character considers being attracted to women being a weakness. The character faints around women she is attracted to. To me it seems it's the fainting that's the weakness.
The other character seeks to help with this by giving her the 'magic powder' that makes her see them as a woman too so as to condition her to not faint. The original intention is not to cure her being gay but actually facilitate it by conditioning he...
I am almost certain that is nothing like how it works.
From what I understand, steam sends a percentage of each sale to the publisher/developer.
I'm willing to be proved wrong though.
That method of monetization was available in mass effect 3 too ( long before either the Xbox One or PS4). All maps and MP characters were free and paid for via micro-transaction loot drops.
This is not a fanboy thing, it is a gaming thing.
@d_g don't do backing up your opinion with evidence thing... it doesn't down well around here.
You've got to throw around loads of rhetoric and pass of your opinion as fact.
A man can dream though right?
