Although yes I do agree, the graphics are indeed dated and getting quite old, but the reason new consoles aren't out yet is because gaming still isn't going high end with graphics.
Battlefield 3 is in-fact doing that, and at that, DICE is using that to their advantages, hopefully Battlefield 3 sets a standard for graphics, and games may release with better graphics, then as more are...
