Simple answer: The Beta's graphics were reduced to cut the size of the download.

Hmm.. Demo's are mainly close to the final representation of the game, but there may be some features missing due to them adding patches in the future, that can also be said for Beta's.
Ouch! That's a pretty bad looking interior view, almost reminds me of GT PSP's interior view.
Still, what we're getting in the pack is quite fankly amazing, I cannot wait for it! :D
EDIT: Yeah, I realize that I probably shouldn't say that, but let's face it, you can see how.. bad? It looks, although I hope they do update the steering wheel to at least a good looking 3D model.
I don't understand why people don't get that this Beta Code is more then 1-2 months old, graphics have been tore down to the Bare Essentials and most bugs that are in the beta have been fixed.
Retail is going to look and play much better.

Amazing numbers, even though the Beta was so buggy/glitchy, but still it's coming out to be a great game with the communities help, veterans of Battlefield 2 and 1942 can help shape this game into what they want it to become, what we all want it to become!

You people are the most un-intellectual lot I've seen in a long time, along with that, the Battlefield 3 Beta doesn't have the best graphical experience due to DICE excluding some of the graphical features to "Lighten the load" if you will.

This Beta build is about 2 months old, none the less they've fixed the bugs and along with that the graphics were stripped down the the bare essentials for smaller download size, how you people can judge a game on those terms plus one mode and map is beyond my comprehension, glad you canceled your pre-order you bucket of incompetence and stupidity.
