Andrew, you've gotten the right information I'll admit, but Rebug has actually been out in the open for about a month now, if Sony needed to take action that could have a long time ago, but they didn't until now.
I know of NGU and in-fact I'm a member there only to see of information daily and understand both prospectives, and I can tell you that Rebug is not the cause of the issue, it's most surely someone actually hacking into the system externally (Dare...
Yes, you are right there, users can just register on the Dev network and use usernames and accounts of people on Normal PSN, however, they cannot access their accounts, only their online gaming accounts (IE: Call of Duty or Battlfield).
I'm sure Sony are fully aware of the issue, and they probably will fix it as they are upgrading their security.
It is a good reason, but I'd say it's doubtful, they wouldn't shut it down for the amount of time they have, this seems much more like a bigger intrusion.
Eh, you never know, this would be the perfect excuse to form a type of group like this, but I won't go into conspiracy theory's now.
Anyway, I just can't believe that Anonymous are still at it and trying to convince people that they're actually "The good guys".. Pfft.
Edit: Yeah, they might be trying to fix their image, but they can still hire a bunch of scum to do their work for them, no? :)
How long can you go? That is the question on my mind.
These assholes are attacking and causing more issues then we already have, Anonymous are low, simple as that, I don't even know why they try to act like Super Heroes.
"If Sony Screws With Gamers Again, Then Expect Us", What are you? The Legion of Superhackers? Pfft..
Wow, I didn't know that, thanks for stating what it was! /s.
Nice job Captain Obvious.
Unless ofcourse were naming one game on Playstation 3 in particular.. *Cough* Call of Duty: Black Ops *Cough*. Wow, was that cough a mouth full.
Well.. Atleast this Article gives an opinion on what they should offer instead of just saying "We want a Game!" or "Sony should Reimburse us!'.
Could we please stop approving all this bullshit by Anonymous? It's getting ridiculous, your giving them the spotlight on N4G by continuously approving these damned articles about this Annoying ass holes.
Yes, but in PSN is a database of basically everything on it, Games, Credit Card Information, Usernames and Passwords, it's the people that are affected when hackers attack and if that information was taken by hackers.
They'll have to just continue to wait, or they could try an alternative like XLink Kai or actually doing something with their family's on easter.
Oh wow, another article asking the exact same question 3-4 other articles have already asked.
Like I've said in all the other ones, we shouldn't require reimbursement from Sony when all they're doing is protecting their consumers by closing PSN and preventing hackers from obtaining their information!
Another Article, another day.
I don't see why we require reimbursement when Sony is doing the right thing here, sure you can't get on PSN, it's easter, hang out with your family for a change!
Sony has closed PSN so hackers can't get YOUR information and YOUR credit card details, and if they have to keep it closed for a little longer, then fine by me, they need to fix that hole the hackers got through!
Agreed, the game was such an amazing experience, I've never actually had that much fun playing portal before.
Well.. Frankly I don't see them owing us anything, they closed down PSN due to hackers entering it, they closed it so hackers couldn't obtain information from users and possibly even use their money to buy games with.
Sony is doing a good job, and if this closure does take long so be it, they know what they're doing and they're going to try to prevent it from happening again.
And please, if you do Disagree with me, give me a proper reason atl...
Honestly, if what they're saying is truthful and they have been hacked, then they have a perfect reason to close PSN, unless everyone here want's their money lost due to hackers.
Sony is only looking out for it's consumers by closing PSN, but the question is, can sony prevent it from happening again?
You guy's gotta remember, if you do get hacked, you have to eliminate that weak point the hackers go in from, although it may take a little more ...
That review is just amazing bullshit.
The game obviously has replay value with Custom Maps, PS3 Cross Gameplay, I mean I don't see what this guy's on about unless he has the 360 version of the game.
How you even have bubbles and agrees with the comment, astounds me.
Skynet is online and flying http://www.skynetair.com.au...
Dunno what the Disagree was for, but yeah, I do agree with you.
Steam is barely ever down, and they're always supplying updates and fixes to their clients and games, if Sony actually teamed up with Valve/Steam, we'd have an amazing console, but knowing that Valve is Multi-Platform that wouldn't happen.
Although, if Sony could somehow merge some of Steams features into PSN and possibly team up Valve, while they still remain Multi-Platform, it'd...
