I agree that they should scrap MT's once and for all. I just meant, the state gaming industry is in now is a dangerous one. We, the hardcore gamers more and more ignore games with intrusive MT's and at the same time we tell the casuals to watch out for them.
But if the hardcore gamers stop buying all these games, and the casuals start to buy the games for maximum 5 bucks, you'll soon see a gaming scene riddled with cheap crapware, and a few, very few high co...
Yeah if everyone thinks like you the entire game industry will go under.
Only solution is that we all stop buying these games until the MT's are removed ! And that's easier said than done because if 20% of all buyers out there ignore this, these companies still think it's a good idea to include them...
It already overtook both PS3 and XBox360, check the link Majin-vegeta posted a few posts above from here. This is old news but vgchartz tries to downplay Playstation as usual. And with Sony reporting record sales since Spiderman came out in september, across october and all the way through Black Friday I guess they already sold way over 90 million PS4's. But I'm sure we hear exact numbers from Sony early next year as usual.

Apart from lootboxes mentioned above, I would say MP-trophies in single-player games. I hate when I buy a game solely for singleplayer and I get like 85% towards platinum trophy but I need to do some crappy tacked on MP just for the few last trophies. Even worse is when the online portion is dead so you can't get those anyhow. That must be the worst thing I know, I hate it even more than lootboxes because those I just ignore.

Nope. Days Gone is released 26 april 2019. Sony would never release 2 of their top titles one week apart.
Edit: If this turns out to be the truth, maybe they postponed Days Gone from 22nd February to insert Death Stranding at that date instead, that would make more sense than May 3rd. :)
Exactly, I think it was a real scam selling this pre-beta game for full price. As you said, they should have postponed and polished it up before releasing it.

For this generation I thought we (entire western world at least) would have much faster internet connections with much less input lag, but I was wrong. Seems that might never happen with some countries putting caps on broadband and so on. And "funny" enough many gamecompanies seem to strive for more and more MP -games while the internet-infrastructure ain't ready for it yet overall.
Nice concerntrolling. Collecting dust since when ? God Of War ? Detroit ? Spiderman ? Everyone I know is playing RDR2 now, how can your PS4 collect dust at all ? Hell, my PS4 seem to be on 24/7, when I don't game we watch Netflix, HBO and so on. And with all the sales going on last weeks, it's almost impossible not to have a growing backlog of great games.

PSVR for me, hard to beat the feeling of being "IN the game". The immersion while playing cargames, going through reefs or just watching a music video is magic. I mean, what can beat the X-wing mission for PSVR (I know they could have patched the graphics for the Pro, but still. The Force is strong with VR :)

I read that as BB2 is happening but Sony wants to talk about the game / release when it's time for that and Hidetaka politely evades the question as good as he can. :)
John Carmack was leadprogrammer on those. John Romero did some programing but is mostly there as a founder of Id Software. Without Carmack those games probably would been worse than Daikatana tbh.
