This seems to work well for you, but many people have more involved setups.

I'd also like a rear USB port or two. This idea comes from Sony, since their prototype showed more ports, including two HDMI & multiple Network ports - Sony never explained why 2 HDMI & multiple Ethernet ports were needed. The rear USB ports never showed up in the first or any other PS3 version.
Some things just make more sense plugged into the back, like the Move's PSEye or an external drive.

I've tried it and watched it played and if your into a game based around being a superhero, I could see the exciting premise getting a 9...and this reviewer who said they didn't like the idea from the start giving it a 6.

But Sony had advertised the PS3 as having online that was "Always Free" and this isn't...or clearly stated on the box.
My friend purchased and brought it over to try on my ridiculously large TV. We where both surprised that there was a fee. He said he checked their website just a couple days before launch...no mention of a fee (now there is)
If he'd known that, he would have skipped the special edition and spent that extra $40 on monthly fee...

A friend bought the special edition, and I don't recommend it. It's the game that matters -- There is so much to do in it that the couple extra trinkets and batman figure are really an extra $40 wasted that could be spent on the subscription fee's to enjoy more of the game!
