I know space is a bit issue for some people but it's not to me and honestly speaking, I didn't buy PS3 to play PS2 games. I already got a PS2 to do just that. Really, I couldn't care less about the PS2 functionality. I'd rather play HD versions of PS2 games like GOW 1/2 collection.

This game seems awesome but the release timing is not smart. They should have pushed it a little. Some where close to summer '10 when there are no games to play.
Yup, I agree. Sony needs to get the supply going before heavy hitters are released BUT, I doubt they'll be able to pull that stunt as PS3 console can't just be produced overnight. This is a ocmplete piece of machine that takes a little time to manufacture. I mean yeah, they can pull a 360 on us and produce sub-standard hardware but I doubt they'd wana kick themselves in their nuts like that :)

Short supply can not give massive boost to sales. Even with PS3 doing so well, I don't think that a shortage in supply will sky rocket the demand so I don't think it's a marketing gimmick, however, you make a very valid point regarding GDC and Sony trying to do something new and perhaps upgrading the 120GB version to 250 and replace the 250 gb with 500gb.
@King_of _the_Casuals: A lot also depends on which city you are in and if your local bestbuy/gamestop etc are located in a densly populated area. For instance, when Walmart was offering a $100 gift card with purchase of a 360, it was almost impossible to find a 360 in Houston while my friend in Victoria could walk in any Walmart and purchase all the 360 he'd want.
What I am trying to say that even though, supply from Sony might be short, some retailers will carry more inventory...

I highly doubt versus will be a PS3 exclusive. Square probably wants a big fat check from M$ that's why they announced versus to be a PS3 exclusive. SE knows that M$ got buttload of money and they will pay big bucks just to have SE announce Vesus as Multiplatform.

See now THAT's why exclusive games MATTER. I am dead sure that Mass Effect 2 must have had a very good effect on 360 sales. In the end, it's all about games. Next up, we'll be seeing some heavy numbers posted by Sony when GOW3 and GT5 or heck when even FF13 (a multiplatform title) comes out.
2010 will be a fantastic year for both us games and the industry. Some QUALITY titles coming out on both the platforms!

Seems to be a GAME OF THE YEAR contender indeed but I think GOW3 or GT5 is probably gona earn that crown. And if GG decide to drop KZ3 this year, then nothing's gona stand in its way.
It will eventually join the ranks of MGS4, GT4p. I bet GOW3 and GT5 will post the same numbers!
