Remember all those useless updates people used to complain about? "But bu bu... this FW upgrade is useless cuz it ain't gona do nothing!", well this is your answer.
I don't know why guys at Joystiq and some guys here think that 70mb is not a lot of ram. That's a LOT of ram people! It means the games can load faster, it means that the XMB can function smoother, it means you can add buttload of new features in each game etc.
Imagine what developers like ...
Remember the time when PS3 was all new and the media, the fanboy (360 fanboys) used to complain how there are no games. Look at the current situation. There are more games on PS3, more exclusives and importantly, more AAA exclusives. So much that we don't have enough time to finish one before the other one arrives. SONY knows how to reach #1 and sooner or later, it WILL happen.
Bungie's a retard. Simple fact so lets all ignore him.
Yup, GO was expensive and had lesser features but I think that if they had lowered the price of all the digital downloads and I am talking about cheap as iphone games, GO could done a lot better. I think GO was Sony's fishing attempt. Maybe they were testing waters and I guess by now, they must have realized what people would want to see in PSP2. Hopefully, they'll learn from their mistakes.
It's defenitely starting to show its age. The fact that developers are starting to talk about it shows that it is also troubling them which is not a good sign. M$ has enjoyed a great deal of third party support thus far but I guess as time moves on, this problem will start to truely surface.
I am pretty sure that 2 years from now, most of the developers will move to PS3 and support the Bluray disk (ps3 format) more than 360. I know it seems far fetched and some may say, it is ...
I hope it's you know what is that word? Hmm... affordable this time! PSPGO's price was insane considering it had no UMD drive and other features were lacking. If Sony plays it right, they can make buttload of money with PSP2.
^ Hahahaha! @ass effect! I am playing it right now and it's a good game. A LOT better than the first part when it comes to technical aspects but I still found a couple of glitches that allowed me to walk in the air. Anyway, ME2 is a good game, one that is incoming to all the PS3 owners =)
You gota give it to these Lens of Truth guys. They really know how to do their job. Well done comparing both the versions in detail!
Super Duper Ultra Mega Street Figher 4: Gold Edition with 4 DLCS announced.
MILK ALL THE WAY!!
@DeadlySpartan: When you got Edge, GT, 1up, Eurogamer, I doubt GOW3 will post 9.8 metacritic score.
A couple of months ago, I started playing Fallout 3 and even though, it looked ugly at first (sorry but U2, KZ2, AC2 can easily spoil your habbits), I got stuck to the game. It's a wonderful game and well, I hope Fallout Vegas is as good as F3 =)
I know the article is not about F3 but just wanted to say thanks to Mr. Crain for starting a wonderful series. I haven't played all of it but i'll be sure to catch up real soon =)
Nothing to see here folks, moving along, lets keep moving, ignore these PS3 HACKED news bits. Playing backup games on PS3 is not going to happen. Never did, and probably never will. Ok never is a very strong word but it won't probably happen and even if it does, I'm sure we'll be seeing the PS4 real soon. GEOHOT is a talented guy but he is wasting his time with the PS3. Why? Because of the following:
1/ He "hacked" PS3 fat version which is not available anymore
...
What? What's the whole fuzz about? Did anyone read the entire article? Read the last paragraph again!
PS3 Slim is a fine.... FINE machine for $299. That's a lot of power and features. I don't think they'll add anything else to it. Again, read the entire article and you'll see why Sony had to get it pass from FCC.
Remember when he predicted that Sony will introduce a Bluray-less PS3? And how M$ will increase the Live cost to above $100/year? Yeah, he is 90% right my as*!!
Mass Effect 2 lacks Emotional Effect but nonetheless it is a great game! I have so far invested 40 hours and loving it. Btw, can anyone tell me where to find someone who can use the forged Citadel ID?
@ShadyDevil: Thanks for filling me in with the upcoming titles. When it comes to MK, I think they need to reboot the franchise. Cut the number of useless characters and drop it down to like 12 or 16 max. Armageddon was also an M rated game but it was crap. The story was not at all nice. Heck I enjoyed Shaolin Monks more than I enjoyed MK:A
They can also try something similar to SF4. Have 3D characters but also have the 2D fighting. Make the fatalities more gory and realistic. T...
I'd love to see sequels of some of the following games
- Knights
- Earthworm Jim
- Mortal Kombat (a proper MK sequel that goes back to it's MKI/MKII roots)
- Penzar Dragon
- Daytona USA
- Metal Gear Solid 5
- Virtua Cop
- Virtua Fighter
- Shenmue
- Dead Space
Those were from the top of my head and I am sure I am missing many. However, there is not a single game mentioned in the article that interests ...
I loved Prison Break so if it's a good game, I am defenitely getting it but I hoped to have played Scofield instead of some new character that we can't even relate to. Still, beating the crap out of T-BAG would be awesome :)
I am getting sick and tired of Unreal Engine. We need something new. I hope CryEngine replaces UE cuz every game I play on 360, even though each game is different, you can clearly tell that that's gotta be the Unreal Engine. It's becoming THAT monotonous!
^ maybe just maybe... what he is trying to say is that now when there is even more ram available, SONY will produce even more and better looking AAA titles that you just can't pass thus making you pay more.
