What? No, anti-bubble sir. I love the ign staff.
I'm going to sue the people calling for the suit against Sony for the lost in humanity I've suffered due to their dumb greed.
It was around 24hrs... Nothing of value was lost. No systems outright bricked. The PS3 has been a remarkably reliable system especially when considering the bleeding edge technology put into the system when it was originally constructed.
People are grasphing at straws trying to make this a bigger story than it is.
I like Atlus as much as the next guy (huge Persona fan in particular) but I don't think they could continue to do what they do best under a first party banner. So much of what they publish here in America are games that lack a publisher outside of Japan, good games in general, but niche games. Games a larger publisher might not be as interested in.
Atlus works best on their own, as a publisher and developer. At least in my opinion.
Next up Sucker Punch, Quantic Dream, or Insomniac. I'd say Insomniac is the long shot, they seem to enjoy their complete freedom a bit too much.
But anyways I'm happy that the PS3 will continue to be Media Molecule's home. :)
No, it's both. The store where I work get tons of calls for PS3's each day. And a big reason stock is so low now is because of high sales in the last quarter of last year. There is demand.
I still have my launch 60gig too. I don't think there is a common of a problem with them as you seem to be thinking there is.
Tomba 3 CONFIRMED!
I work in the electronics department for the Target where I live, and we have been hounded since Christmas. "Do you have any Wii's?" "Do you have any PS3's?" we've gotten very few of either console since December.
I think both of those console's numbers would be a lot higher had supply been in stores. The 360 supply has been pretty much business as usual.
Not sure if anyone else's area is like mine but in the store I work at we have been virtually sold out of PS3's and to a lesser extent Wii's since early January. I think they exhausted their supply around Christmas, not entirely sure they were expecting that big of boost in demand.
That stacked with Mass Effect 2's Release, and people replacing dead units explains the numbers a bit to me. But I'm an Xbox pessimist more than an optimist...the two dead ones I've gone through have...
There will def be more Ratchet and Clank games in the future. Just (and no pun intended) not in the Future series of games, so it looks like this is the last of the main line Ratchet games on PS3. The games still sell well, and they left a lot of open space to be covered in regards to story.
I think what they meant by expanding the series to a larger audience, mass market, is things like the upcoming action figure line coming out. I could see them making a comic tie in series, or...
"In what might be a response to lackluster sales, Amoco gas stations slashed there gas prices from $2.80 to $2.79. This surely spells doom and glower for all Amoco employees, relatives, and well-wishers."
Honestly people will grab at anything to try to tear Sony down, get a life you trash journalist.
After playing a few rounds of multiplayer, I was floored as to how much fun it was. Check me on the believer side.
Considering how much a different main character would change the game, especially the ending. I think it is somewhat likely that this game is just a new game using using the Persona 3 assets and world. Even after FES the story had a few possible loose ends. Maybe this new character will team up with Elizabeth from the velvet room, on her hinted at new quest...
Happyface your logic is deeply flawed. Microsoft lost plenty of money on the original Xbox and up until I believe this last year lost plenty of money on 360 as well. I guess they should have jumped out of the business too. Hell, I guess Apple should have just closed shop too. No way they would ever find relevance again after their misfortunes in the 90's. Nintendo has it's N64,Gamecube, and Virtual Boy era's. Companies don't become successful by throwing in the towel in hard times, they adapt...
Hopefully they didn't say the textures were imporved "insignificantly", that would mean they barely changed at all.
But if they did improve the textures, it's just more good news on a good game.
Someone needs to share the secrets of Photoshop with this site so they can fudge out those nasty ign watermarks on their images.
The last thing I want is another Nintendo Wii.
I think it's sad that we are even in the position where "not being forgotten about" is the best terms Nintendo can address their core fans with. They are not focused on making the kinds of games/features/advances that their core audience ,that have been supporting them for years and years, want from them. They seem to be focused instead on the highest profit margin and the lowest common denominator.
Say what you will about Sony and Microsoft (and they both certainly ...
At the store I work at we haven't received any units since February 15th. We get more calls for the PS3's now then Wii's. I'm happy to see the demand, but yeah it seems a bit like a missed opportunity.
