crysis only suports dx9 they just decided to lock ultra high settings in dx9 cards so that ppl would buy more nvidia dx10 cards . crytek even confirmed this was true , if you visit crysis oficial forum you will find mods to unlock the settings .

it have win7 and vista 10.1 drives plus the fix . i dont understand however is why doesnt work on a single card i have 4870 512 megas and the game at 1280 1024 only use 60 % graphic processor and 175 megas vram .
i hope the gf100 cards will be indeed damm good because it comes 6 months later and have a new architecture . my hd 4870 is fine for more 1 year so i wait for the hd 6000 and GeForce 400 series .

2 5870 since in 5970 both cores are only 725 mhz compared 5870 that are 850 mhz but you need a damm good psu
it will also make the cards to become cheaper currently ATI has is cards with a high price because theres no dx11 competition .
in my opinion driver sweeper is better i use this method
1- uninstall graphic driver
2- reboot in safe mode
3- clean using driver sweeper ( choose Nvidia or ATI display , analyze and clean)
3- reboot normal
4- install new graphic driver
5- reboot

when developers release the system requirements they already put in consideration the amount of ram the OS needs run as well ram that other heavy programs like antivirus are using . you have more than enough to run the game im running in 1240x1024 all setting on max and its only using 1.8 gb ram .
no currently the only dx11 cards are the hd 5000 series .
that benchmarks where made using hd 4000 series drivers , the first drivers for hd 5000 series will only be released on 22 october . how can you expect to get a good performance if theres no drivers ?

currently i'm happy with my hd 4870 not the best in this generation but they where when i build my rig . only plan on building a new rig next year so by the time benchmarks will tell me if i buy ati 5000 series or nvidia 300 series .
