you are correct that most gamers are over 18. but to say platform games like mario are not dominant is just silly. mario easily outsales every other game out there. mariokart for one sold 30 million copies on the wii. proves any argument against them being dominate invalid. the problem is nintendo is the only company that still knows how to make quality platforming games. and lifetime sales of pokemon will far surpass any of the 3 you mentioned. bf isn't even ...
i ahte that dead rising 3 is exclusive to xbone. hopefully ps4, wiiu will get so kind of edition of the game much like the wii got chop til you drop.

on topic: sony made a good move with actually saying where they stand on some issues. i can't believe they still get a free pass for charging to play online when that was the draw of the psn vs xbl. still should have had more exclusives or at least teased some.
nintendo systems sell during the holidays no matter who they are against. they always have always will. parents buy them for their kids. nintendo doesn't care how old their customers are which is why they make gamesfor everyone. and with a ton of kid friendly games coming around the holidays sales will pick up. they are helped by the fact that gtav is coming because it will be promoted to death and parents will see it for the other systems any think nah i'll buy nintendo.

wii sports is the best selling game ever(yes bundled with the system but it's what got people buying the wii)
all 3 of those are mario level or close to it. wii fit proves it by fit trainer being in smash. ask anyone if they know what wii fit is. yes its on marios level.
do these developers not realize to become a used game someone had to buy it new? and after they trade/sell it then someone else gets it. but the point is they are still supporting the same amont of gamers. it's not like the person hat traded it still plays it. most people that buy a used game does so because it's cheaper. so they may get money out of the cheaper gamers but it'll be when the games are in the bargain bin for 19.99 or less and this new plan will cause aot of people w...

i havn't decided beween this or dkc for my wiiu. may just wait until after christmas to pick them both up.

as far as pikmin and w101 it doesn't have to be a surprise game to be a big game releasing this year.
granted it may not be what gamers want but theres no denying it's a big title if not the biggest.
i played it all the way through. yes the ending is horrid. i didn't go into the game expecting cod zombie mode like most of the reviews seemed to be expecting. i'm not saying it's a 10 by any means. but a 3? no maybe a 6 but not 3.
it's not trolling. do you really expect this to reach even uncharted levels? uncharted go all kinds of praise but doesn't come close to the big dogs when it comes to sales. thats just the facts. 3 millin at the most and even that is pushing it. and tomb raider proves that isn't great sale since it's consider a failure.

mariokart will hit around tax time in the US. that's when they tend to release those games due to the holiday rush being over and people have tax money to blow. they will put both those titles out with nothing coming for the ps4 or xb1 for at least a couple of months.
isn't this "being safe" what everyone wanted the to bring? i remember everyone n this site saying nintendo needs a 3d mario. well there it is. nintendo can do no right to some people. if they would have just shown all new ips the headline would be "where is my 3d mario, mariokart, and zelda games".

idk x may have took it on the visuals but mariokart looks to be the full package: fun, visuals, and smooth gameplay. all and all i'd agree mariokart shined.
