There ARE online shooters that actually immerse you in this way.( Socom [the first 3 & sometimes confrontation], Counter Strike, etc.) However these titles require actual skill so therefore they "suck" to the majority of "gamers" today.
there is absolutely no immersiveness in respawning , sprinting in circles while chucking grenades and knives , and calling in an airstrike all at the same time just to get shot in the back, and then respawning in 2 seco...

The only thing I disagree with with this comment is that you said a whole HD collection WITH online. (but i still clicked agree because I want a REAL socom released regardless). I think most would be just satisfied with #2. If they did a whole collection, then great but if #2 gets rereleased I'll go crazy! lol

So those are the killer apps for the Kinect? From the way people talked about the thing they made it seem like it was a new CONSOLE, in fact M$ even went out of there way to release a bundle as if it was!
This whole gen has consisted of people down talking sony as if they are the ones just sitting on there asses relying on 3rd party devs, buying "exclusive DLC" (like seriously what the hell....and yes I know sony does it too, but xbox does it waaay more.)

I've said this a million times and I'll keep saying it:
if you develop a game trying to get COD players to play it, they'll be interested for a month or so, and then once a "new" COD or overpriced DLC is announced they're back on COD.

in my opinion halo rocks, and I'm glad to be an owner of my xbox 360 because there's a plethora of exclusives for me to choose from from all genres.
