Of course it's not perfect, but it's the first shooter I can remember playing from beginning to end without wanting to stop since RE4. I would say those two games are about equal in quality, because RE4 is certainly more challenging, but Bioshock is just pure fun. I can't believe people who call it slow or boring. They must be 14-year-olds with ADD.
Ninety Nine Nights II: The Quickening.
I was waiting for it, but it seems funny that it pops up in an article that gives it "10s" across the board and game of the month accolades. If you really think BioShock is too "slow," than you must have the attention span of a fruit fly.
And your username says it all. I think it's funny that you're talking about 13 and 14 year-olds buying all the crappy games, yet you can't even spell at a third grade level.
No doubt about it. I can hardly wait. Good thing I still have to finish BioShock. And yes, sometimes it's better to make a game exclusively one player (See: BioShock). Not every game has to be like Halo 2, or whatever the Flagship game of the PS is...hmmm...drawing a blank here...
...is a really, really great game. Probably the best Madden ever in terms of visuals, play control and overall experience. You should try it.

Maybe they couldn't achieve that frame rate because of the dev kits for the PS3? Doesn't that seem like a logical answer, given that myriad developers have had difficulties programming for the PS3?
That the Wii sells so many copies, and yet most of the articles on here about the Wii get the least amount of copies. Nintendo's target audience is not whiny fanboys, I guess that's why.
They're not even that much different. It's not nearly the leap in technology from VHS to DVD. It's a nonsense format war fueled by the fact that the PS3 was bundled with a blu-ray player.
I didn't even understand what he/she was trying to say.
Does anyone actually have doubts about this game? If you liked the previous installments of the series (which pretty much everyone did) it stands to reason that this game is going to be any different. I've got 360 and a Wii, and they are both great for separate reasons. Photorealism isn't all there is to gaming.
Now I have to hurry and finish Bioshock before tomorrow!
I mean, this is barely news since nearly every developer has complained about dev tools for the PS3 since before the console even dropped. My friend who coded some of the graphics for "Minority Report" (I know terrible game, but smart guy) explained the bassackwards way that programming for the PS3 works, and it boggles the mind. Sheer horsepower means nothing if the people who work on the games face too much difficulty in the process of programming. But again, we've known this, ...
Fanboys of the other consoles are so threatened when they hear that the Wii actually has good graphics, because they know that Nintendo already has them beat in terms of gameplay.
I have a 360, and it's great, but the Wii is by far the best system for playing with others. Great for drinking games.
Absolutely true. I think people always forget that it's not sheer horsepower that creates good graphics, but harnessing the tool that you're using.
was the silliest argument I've ever heard for the supposed technical superiority of the PS3
I know someone said something to the effect of "there's always going to be one guy going against the hype, trying to be cool," and that's clearly this guy. The Demo was great, but I put 5 hours into that game yesterday, and it's just scratching the surface. And for people saying it's just like HL2...hahahahahhaha...wow, dumb.
"I'm going to get it regardless of the reviews because we're obviously looking at two different games.
I've seen the trailers and the game looks sick to me. I've seen "5" games and this hasn't shown anysign of that. Unless they took those gametrailers back and totally dismantled the game, it still looks hot to me. How can I not buy it? I still haven't heard any REASON not to."
Keyser, remember when the amazing trailers for The Phantom Menace...
This is the worst review of Lair yet, but it just goes to show that the game does not have the universal appeal that Sony and Factor5 were hoping for. It's one of those niche games that some people will really get into while others will be bored or frustrated.
