"Still, Wilson sees an important role for more traditional game experiences. His focus is on player motivation (the reason people play the games they do), and live games don’t scratch every itch players might have."
-Oh, That's refreshing.
"But we still have these other motivations that we're trying to fulfill as players. The games-as-a-service concept is likely to be foundational to our future because it fulfills the very core motivati...

Only thing I liked from Nintendo was Sword and Shield, was more interested in cyberpunk and watchdogs from other conferences.

Looking forward to your face, where this T-bag belongs. lol
Rather see this then current COD: https://www.youtube.com/wat... , settings in COD are getting stale, retreading same historic scenes they've already done. If they changed time period further back or get rid of guns, anything to change up formula in a radical way and maybe they'll would get back some renewed interest in terms of the sales figures they were looking for. This games clearly meant for those ...
"there's a lot of wheeling and dealing behind the scenes to secure PS Plus games every month"

Im pretty sure most of us who dont like ps plus wouldn't care less what "free games" are out every month if it wasn't required for online. Doesn't feel good deciding between a new game and renewing every year for a service that used to be fr...
No, the point is they just don't offer a mix as good as before now that plus is a requirement. And there dosen't seem to be believable excuse for it, besides the usual cited excuses such as catalog or expense. Recently (last month was last AAA game I noticed personally) the offerings have been good, but making drops like that rare just seems to be a way to reshape what we were used to from PS3 to shift to lower tier games, and no not all indies are bad, by "lower tier" I me...

lol, they lowballed PS4 owners compare to PS3 and now its called entitled to even point it out. The catalog is diverse enough to offer a mix of Indie and traditionally recognized games, and sony is making more money off playstation then ever before, "PlayStation, on the other hand, continues to shine thanks to a sale in both games and consoles, and helped push the division to rake in $484.3 million."[1]. Explore Deez Nuts.
A better comparison would be between the original Fall of Man, as they both have a very heavy story driven experience. The Narration on FoM was just head and shoulders better then its sequels.

Either, make the game $80 and put all season pass content in it, and sell one version w/ no tiered editions. Or sell only cosmetic DLC. I get games have huge budgets, but if you cant make enough profit at $60 while smaller devs are making games that are just as enjoyable (if not more) & profitable as the annualized AAA releases for $30 (Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice ), $20 (Cuphead). Then lower your budget, or have a set price increase w/ no gimmicks. Milking people for all their wort...

I woudn't mind paying extra for a game, if it really meant getting a higher quality product. But that's not what its used for, the extra revenue goes to the publisher to satisfy shareholders & pay for marketing. Games are stripped down to upsell, and have on average shorter dev times, with more bugs and less content.
Also, you know it really bodes well for the idea that devs need to start charging $100 + some MT here or there for a complete expe...

Yes, reviewer in article didn't have the same problem Polygon did, and this game's Lootboxes aren't as invasive as say Battlefront 2's. However, I think the point is why have them in at all? Esp when they already have a solid revenue stream through their tiered editions, season pass and partnerships with Tostitoes. Lootboxes belong in Mobile, GaaS type games are being shoehorned in and they aren't good a good sign, they keep trying to push us toward Mobile.
Deal on Crash Racing only seems to be for Switch, bummer.
