Both Sony and retailers deserve blame.

Sony did not communicate it's launch well with retailers, relying on them too much to choose when to go live.

Retailers starting with Walmart shitting the bed admitting it was letting people order early.

Then it snowballed with Gamestop bs of queue system online which crashed often and kicked out of queue, they also shamelessly tried to force bundles both online and in person without warning. ...

Why isn't there an english demo of this? seriously. On top of being vague all this time they cant even be bothered to present something we can understand.

I'm pretty sure a lot of people(myself included) would have been satiated with a picture(s) of what it actually looks like, and or a playable demo to show off that tech. We've known what the series X looked like since Dec 2019...Honestly annoyed that MS has shown more than Sony at this point. At least when MS showed tech sepcs they followed up with something visual to demonstrate that advantage.

The fact is the competition has been more transparent and we've seen what the series X looks like since Dec of last year. Time for Sony to show us what the darn thing looks like and stop beating around the bush. That MS sponsored "MTV cribs" episode with Austin Evans should frankly leave Sony embarrassed to then to follow up with Cerny's ASMR presentation. I'm likely getting a PS5 first because of first-party studios. But from a PR/ first impression standpoint, I'm liking what MS is doing much more than Sony. Already showing what it looks like well in advance is a huge plus on top of that inviting people to see it before launch and taking it apart dissecting its specs in the flesh and trying out games to showcase the advantage of the tech was way more then I expected for new console gen reveal. Sony seems a bit too complacent and lacked...

Terrible timing esp in contrast w Microsoft's show and tell. Some YouTubers also picked up on it so I'm glad I wasn't the only one who noticed. With so many ppl hungry for PS5 news it really was a miscalculation.

Except they know it's more casual ppl watching esp so close after MS more transparent sharing of info at their hQ w digital foundry. They could have thrown casual audience a bone.

Its a trend from Pokemon(only) DS/ Gameboy days when it was only mobile and you couldn't get the experience on a stationary console so more people traded as "intended". Now even with the lite (of which its a smaller install base) most people with a Switch use it at home only. "Trading" now is a thinly veiled way to make an effortless extra $60 for the same game reskinned and with some features removed to create an artificial value. IMO its a disappointing aspect that ...

Surprisingly no discount on the one X even though they already discontinued $399 bundles... and are moving back up to $499.

They probably gonna remove then reinstate them at a later date so they can sap in as many people as possible. I.E: Crash Bandicoot Racing. Same company pulling the MT strings right?

Here's how I look at it if I was going for a new one, both have the same multiplats, but sony has the higher exclsusives and is still cheaper. the only upside is if you dont already have a 4k bluray player.

And.....There goes the money I was considering on purchasing this game.

I'm still amazed at how little recognition is given to the first resistance from "fans" esp the narration of RFOM during custscenes. Cornelia Hayes did an excellent job as Rachel Parker she gave the world an authentic sense of atmospheric urgency and dread that I haven't seen matched since Halo, It was even more engrossing at times then gears. The multiplater on Resitance 2 though just looked like saints row 3 version of gears...
