How many people will really be affected by the 'restrictions'? People simply do not like Microsoft. Its that simple. This console is built for the future, they will be in this for the long haul. Everything Sony does is wonderful for us, believe, if any other company did this,charge for the holy grail of free multiplayer, they would be total scumbags.... such fickle fanboys, but I get free games...maybe now people will not buy games, just wait till they are free.... great business model...
The debacle that was PS3 meant Sony had to step up to the plate this time, and they did, really good, and it seems people have now forgotten that Sony, did in fact try to screw them with PS3 launch. Remember Sony have shareholders, and profit is Almighty.... Just be careful what you wish for.... Sony becomes too big again, always the chance they will try dictate to you again....

Omg! You telling me you do not even need to pay for ISP on PlayStation? Wow.... I preordered Xbox 1, looking forward to it. Never bought preowned, that's an industry killer... All honesty, Sony tried to screw you with the PS3. They needed this. PS3 brought them back to Earth. After PS1 & 2, they thought they could shovel any old crap and you would scoop it up. They learned a lot with PS3. Will be interesting to see how MS respond, especially if sales are low. Developers and publishers are not loyal, if things change they will jump ship too.... for me its a very good time to be a gamer, as these 2 are gonna fight for our money....

No, this just sucks... lil by lil they will start doing what MS are doing. This was always a big deal, having free multiplayer, now they sneaked this in the backdoor while everyone was going mental over no DRM.... whats next? I do not care for Drive club either, so thats no consolation to me....
People forget, in the US, which matters, Xbox will be huge. This market is important, budgets are based on what happens there. Sony are still major, innovative too, and will probably sell more, but when games in the US sell more on Xbox and they are all new games, not trade ins, things might change. There is no doubt publishers are happy about Xbox, no one wants to be the bad guy, but someone had to do it and Microsoft did. Whether you like it or not, this might have saved the console industr...
