Takes you out of what element? You haven't even started the game if you're installing, thus, haven't experienced anything to be taken out of. People seem to think just because a game spans multiple discs, it is magically inferior. Same goes for mandatory installs. The 15 secs it takes to swap a game disc, while inconvenient, is no more a deal breaker than taking 10 minutes to install data to improve performance.
Then the devs should have their own platform to have that type of control.
Multiplayer games will always have a space in gaming. Just like single player.
I'm really not sure if underrated applies just yet. We still have the holiday season and it pulled like 275K launch (impressive numbers by any standards). I have R3 and haven't even broke the seal. Only b/c I want to re-run through 1&2 first. I cannot wait!!
Great! Not that it would've been a deal breaker. Mandatory installs matter as much as multiple discs.
If they mix up the environments and enemies a bit, it could be an all around masterpiece. The first game was almost there. Great atmosphere, very slick presentation (treating it like a television series was great) and simply fun. My only complaint is it was a little repetitious and there wasn't too much variety.
Shame the review scores didn't equal commercial success. That's why I say underrated, cause it was. Glad you liked it as much as I and yes, a second one would definitely be amazing!
You cared enough to comment. I'll still take 1 disc and 8GB over 3 discs and 22GB. And dude, you're the last person to label anyone fanboy. Now run along and tell all your "friends" how you'll install 3 discs just to get the game to run smoothly. I'm sure your babysitter will be impressed.
"Add to that fact the game was patched within a week, and the only remaining bug is a corrupt save glitch that appears to be related to people duping and otherwise breaking the rules of the game anyway."
Wrong. The game simply doesn't save properly. Add to that the frustration of having to repeat quests you've already completed and this is far from "GamingTruth". Edge are the only ones that gave Dead Island the score it deserves. This game is a bro...
I'm a fan of installing once instead of swapping. Regardless of the platform.
Good thing no one is putting a gun to my head and making play the console version. Even though I am going to be buying and playing the PS3 version. As long as the game is as good as it looks to be, I don't care what my PC brethren are playing. As they don't care what I'm playing.
Don't tease Bioware. That was one of the original Xbox's finest games. Completely underrated imo.
Exactly. The point is it's on all platforms (minus Wii) and everyone can enjoy it.
I thought Folklore was beautiful. While No Ni Kuni isn't out yet, that game looks gorgeous too. Then there's GoW3, KZ2/3, Resistance 3 is beautiful as well.
This will probably be my final Wii game purchase (for myself). No matter how old I get, I love me some Zelda.
I think he's saying b/c MS will pay to have timed exclusive DLC, they "win" the meaningless contest too many gamers are preoccupied with.
Valkyria Chronicles should be on that list.
It would appear you don't know what console is dominant. Rhymes with Tea. You really seem to be caught up on this "console war". Play what you enjoy. Don't play percentages or sales.
@Pandamobile Touche'. How about rhymes with Nintendo Tea? Better?
Looks great! Not so sure about the whole bowling thing.
It'll be ok man. Just play the 360 version and keep bitching about the PS3. Shouldn't be a stretch for you. I think it's always best to focus on the console/corporation rather than the quality of the games available. Don't you? Of course you do.
