For the same reason Heavy Rain, infamous 2, Killzone 3, Socom 4, R3, LBP2, etc aren't considered Move games...when they clearly are.
WTF happened to Mass Effect? and Kinect commands/controls looked completely useless.
1. Priced appropriately
2. No BC, but that really depends on the architecture
3. Easy to develop for
4. Tighter developer support
5. Kick ass exclusive games
6. PSN growing from PS3 to PS4 as XBL did from Xbox to 360
The free promotion comes from people being excited for a fair priced, awesome piece of kit being DEDICATED to games. As well as being able to supports apps like Netflix and Twitter. Smartphones are great, but games like Mario or Uncharted are not ever going to appear on smartphones in their current form. Tap, Tap, Tap games are what excel and should. There's plenty of people that can and do enjoy both. I don't want to make calls from a Vita or 3DS and I don't want to tap myself in...
When the PS3 was announced and the arrogance displayed regarding it, I feel the hate was warranted. Hell, I was one of the haters. But the turn around and acknowledgement is something I think gets overlooked. They continue cranking out great games, great services that remain free to access (Netflix, Crackle, Vudu to name a few), yet, the hate just continues (albeit lesser in many respects now). The US gaming media very early this gen was bought by free Live accounts, debug and retail consoles...
I know when I buy a new portable, I want to play the old games from the previous portable I've already played/beaten. Do they really expect me to use the Vita to play Vita games? Or download PSP games I don't own and play them on the Vita?
And why would you carry a Vita and a PSP while you travel if you just want to play PSP games? Do you really have to try and find a reason to moan?
They take issue with this but have no problems posting NSFW cosplay.
You could get it cheaper than Amazon from the PS Store.
It sure as hell is better than no experience. Watching people play Monday morning QB in the finance realm, pertaining to a global electronics corp, on a VIDEO GAMES site is flat out the funniest shit to see.
EDIT: I wasn't disagreeing with you either (and didn't). There's a lot to be said for life experience, keeping up with whatever hobby you enjoy, etc., but some of the comments in this article are comic gold.
EDIT2: The Monday morning QB thing...
It's good to see so many financial analysts with years of corporate electronics experience...all on N4G!
Just cleared cache...everything deleteable. Now Google Music Works!
The Fight is a exercise game hidden in a fighter. A good one too.
While Google Music now loads, you can't listen to you library via the browser. You CAN download you songs to your PS3 and play them though. WIN.
When the price was announced, everyone cheered. Now, magically, price is a concern? Give it a rest haters. Jesus.
I'm sure the India studio can spell "terms".
^^^ Them
HBO Go is going to be a great addition to the PS3 too.
And yet, you helped make my point valid. Thanks! :)
I'm guessing $50-$75 gift cards every month like they did last year (and so far all of 2012). Even then, they outsold the more expensive blu-ray player by 1.7 million. Not the thrashing you'd expect. It only took them 6yrs to globally outsell their closet competition...
It would be a killer match up, but I think Capcom would go DC's route and not want their characters "killed". If there were no BS restrictions like that...sold.
