@Ben_Grimm
I think you don't understand why that is because no one here has said the media is biased.
Yup. Already have it preordered.
250GB HDD is $30. Upgrade it and be done.
The more expensive argument is just for attention and to try and (as usual) paint Sony in a negative light. I think a game, 90 additional gigs and $30 of Dust514 content (for $20 more than a 160GB PS3 with nothing additional) is a value.
I think for every two steps forward (cross-buy, cross-play, Vita controller, new IPs, hardware redesign) they take one step back (Linux craziness, PSN hack, ridiculous PSOne NA Vita rollout, advertising, etc.). But they also put out some pretty killer games and seem committed to lowering the price, making it a more affordable piece of kit. With PS+ coming to Vita and NOT having to pay twice, I'm proud to own 2 PS3s and a Vita.

That's where parenting comes in. When I was 7, I watched Friday the 13th Part 4 with my mom. Have I killed anyone? Not that many.
@ToxicTaco
It is great. Even some the listed sequels were new IP. Infamous, Motorstorm, Uncharted, LBP, Resistance, Pixel Junk games, Dead Nation and on. But ignore those.
I think it "may" have to do with being bundled with Uncharted 3. Here's to hoping.
Time to get a bigger memory card.

What were you saying?
Absolutely. Everything I've seen screams badass, as well as great story telling. Troy Baker is a hell of a voice actor. naughty dog is a hell of a developer. I don't see how anyone can question the quality were going to experience.
You live in the past? Cool.
He's absolutely right. I'm glad Sony and Nintendo don't nickle and dime you.
It's pretty damn slick. Glad I got the Deluxe pre-ordered!
They have a hell of a shot. New hardware a month before Christmas? While not the leap from analog sticks to waggle, the Gamepad and simple fact that it's Nintendo lead me to believe they'll have a hell of a holiday.
I'm definitely going to wait, but that's not saying I'm not impressed. After this gen, I want see how the real implementation is. Things ALWAYS sound great on paper and in a PowerPoint slide, but let's see how they are in use.
I don't know if I agree that it will sell out for months. Aside from the initial rush, as with any new console, the tell of the tale will be after the holidays. Will the same buyers of the Wii rush out for the Wii U? Will games that are already available on 2 rather successful consoles (360 & PS3) be enough? As a parent, if my kid had a PS3 or 360 and wanted COD or Batman (for some reason) why wouldn't I just get it for them on their existing console?
That said......
I don't think they sold their soul, I think they want to make games as long as possible. While I'm not excited for Fuse, I also wasn't excited for OverStrike. If this is their new game so be it.
Shame. Resistance 3 showed me what they were capable of in terms of SP story telling. That game was fantastic. I guess they're now in the "Developers whose games I rent" category. I'm not sold on Fuse.
A spacegoat sounds creepy as hell.
