I sometimes wonder what could have been if Xenogears was actually greenlit as the plot for FF7…or if Square made the choice NOT to develop Spirits Within. I heard it was basically the Xeno killer :( thanks to that flop we lost what could have been another flagship series. Darker, religious undertones in sci-if fantasy. Rubbed too many people the wrong way I think.
Ok I’ll shut up now but just the very fact someone told the 86 shareholders they’d personally like to play it gives me real hope. It’s been brought to their attention. Work it out, and don’t fuck it up! I would gladly pay full price for a collectors edition with the full soundtrack and whatever else they can throw in there, seriously take my money.
If a Gears remaster release actually happened, and somehow it was a huge success, I’m pretty sure all cult fans would start petitioning to get Square and Takahashi to team up and wrap up all the episodes. It’s seriously too bad we only got an Episode 5 while the roadmap for this IP was set up to be an episodic masterpiece.
Funny enough it was proposed as the original plot to FF7 (which of course got a remake), and while that also has a place in my heart, I’m too close to th...
Yup, Xenosaga trilogy was Namco and Xenoblade is Monolith which may or may not be owned by Nintendo. I think they at least own the IP.
Before I even read the article my first thought was Xenogears. Then I read Question 6. People clearly want it. That line brightened the tiny glimmer of hope I have for this to one day be a reality. Honestly, even if the 2nd disk is in the same state, I would still buy a remaster with a localization update and 2D HD style.
Unfortunately I’m still way too skeptical that Square Enix would even bother. I know the vague answer means there’s a possibility, but in order to get it ...
I think we need to take a moment here to appreciate Cory’s well placed reference to the infamous Westwood College commercial.
I totally agree, game is fun but it probably won’t last. Right now it's nothing more than bland Halo multiplayer with a Portal gun. It could benefit from an identity of it’s own.
Check out the ESRB if you want to know how game content is rated.
Bluepoint* Sony doesn’t own them…yet.
Honestly they haven’t disappointed so far. Really curious to see how their first IP will play out. Hopefully it’ll be successful, they deserve it.
I would take a Xenogears remake over any Final Fantasy in a heartbeat. That game deserves recognition and a second chance to really finish what was originally intended for the second half of the game. Sadly, it’s just not a possibility right now. I hate to say never because I’m holding out hope that one day Square and Monolith Soft could find a way to work out some kind of agreement to get it green-lit, but we all know chances are slim to none.
You know it’s futile when peo...
Remedy already announced a Control multiplayer game, that is most likely what they’re mentioning.
Edit: I should read the article before commenting. :( I guess Condor is supposed to be a separate project?
Follow a Twitter account that focuses on restock updates. There are restocks online at least once or twice a week, sometimes more, and they can last for more than a few seconds lately. You just have to be ready at all times for a restock alert.
I think it goes too far when people are flying to your home town, taking pictures of your car, or sending pics of your kids in a toilet with human shit on it. Stalking is never ok.
On top of that, their statement here seems fairly genuine and passionate towards their personal experiences with multiplayer.
Never had a problem. If you’ve never seen it work, you probably need faster internet.
This article practically has more heat than all of the others combined XD
If I were looking for a new arena shooter I’d probably skip rocket league too.
This writer has clearly never played the new God of War.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t sharing your opinion one of the main reasons we have comment sections?
Except Xenogears :<
