I'm just glad the game didn't suffer from the ever-looming hype debacle. The Evil Within was received well by some and terribly by others, but I think it could have been a lot worse. I wasn't expecting too much in the way of this game - survival horror has certainly changed over the years - and I feel others felt the same. Great article, Chris.

I didn't realize that it was getting so close to launch. I remember hearing about it and becoming overwhelmingly excited. Now that it's getting ready to launch, I can only hope it's successful. I'll be rotating this with Dragon Age and Far Cry, that's for sure.

I think what our writer is getting at is the fact that reality can oftentimes be the scariest thing at all. Let's be honest -- it's an LGTBQ themed game, and an LGBTQ themed response. I've heard so many pleas for Japan, and I would definitely love to see an AC game with that setting. But yes! A female assassin would be awesome. Although, we should give credit to Aveline from Liberation. I enjoyed how they brought it back for consoles, but I'd love an entirely new game/setting.
