Soo let me get this straight. They remove campaign to save money on production, sell the game at full retail price, and the game will still ship with limited multiplayer maps so they can still charge extra for the season pass?
Sure Overwatch doesn't have a campaign, but that game constantly adds new maps, modes, and characters at no extra cost so it doesn't split the community.

Definitely not this year, especially near the end of the year juggernaut's. If I had to guess, with the way Sony spreads their games, I would say mid 2020. I expect Sony to do something similar with the first game, release the game the same year as the Playstation 5. That way Sony can maximize sales on the Playstation 4 with the hype it will bring, while still building excitement for Playstation 5.
The battle royale mode does sound pretty interesting, but there's so much details left out. Multiplayer looks like a cross between Ops 2 and 3 so, theres really nothing that makes you go "Wow".

Season Pass splits the community...people who don't want to cough up an extra $50 get bored of playing on the same maps. The fact that its EA doesn't help either.
People seem to have missed when Sony said they created the Pro to extend the console cycle. From a business standpoint, 2019 doesn't make any sense.
