No doubt, Sony will let Cory create a brand new IP, especially after all of this. Cory and Sony Santa Monica getting the praise they so rightfully deserve.
Looks spectacular. Would love to see a Spider ham costume.
Congratulations Sony Santa Monica. Creative freedom, time, and passion pays off in the end. I hope Insomniac gets the same 10/10 praise in a few months as well.
Crystal Dynamics, thank you for not letting Cory Barlog be Cory Barlog. Thank you Sony, for letting Cory Barlog be Cory Barlog.
Thank you Sony for letting the Creative Minds, Create.
Insomniac are the perfect developers for Spider-Man. I Love the combat in the Arkham Games, but instead of just copying that formula, they went deeper. Potential game of the Year Candidate.
It was like this in their previous UFC game. Which is why I will never buy another.
When you have the pay to win lootboxes, with a very limited number of maps at launch, and $50 season pass, It's disgusting. Activision Should be under the same amount of fire, if not more than EA, but instead it gets ignored and we get quotes like "It made more than Thor Ragnorak and Wonder Woman combined"
- New IP
- Incredible Story and Characters
- Beautiful Art Direction
- Unique Setting
- Breath taking graphics
- Strong female protagonist
- An Open world that actually feels alive
Guerrilla Games deserves a lot more awards than just game of the year. Can't wait to see what they do with the next Killzone, or sooner, Kojima's Death Stranding.
Game is soo much fun. Sad that people want it to be bad because it's in the center of controversy.
Uncharted 4 is pay to win and it follows the same free DLC guideline as Battlefront 2. Powerful Mysticals and weapons are unlocked either through random lootboxes, or just outright buying them with real money. It's been like this for awhile now.
So according to the review...the online is incredible in every way, but loot boxes ruin the experience. I get that it's cool to throw stones at EA, but it would be nice if reviewers gave this treatment to other big games with lootboxes/pay to win.
Uncharted 4 literally uses the same method, reviewers didn't mention it, Call of Duty has been pay to win for awhile now, and reviewers are having to much fun to care. I guess at the end of the day reviews don't matter...
Sad thing is, Call of Duty and all other Activision/Blizzard games will continue to sell millions.
I disagree. You'd be surprised how many people purchase games nowadays based on graphics alone. NBA Live team has done a good job to improve the games over the years. May not be on the level of 2K, but still a solid game.
As soon as NBA Live switches to the frostbite engine, the franchise will be loved again.
I remember when NBA Live was on top and 2K were the underdogs just trying to deliver a great NBA experience. NBA Live team got too cocky and dropped the ball, and 2K finally got the recognition it deserved.
Now The tables have turned and 2K are overconfident & greedy. Sad to see people support them and microtransactions in general.
Spider-Man is in good hands if Insomniac games are involved
Mortal Kombat X actually used Unreal Engine 3...a modified version like Injustice 2 which is also 1080p 60.
I just find it Strange that Injustice 2, a fighting game using the Unreal engine 3, manages to look better than Tekken 7, and is able to hit 1080p 60 on base PS4. Harada even confirmed last year that Tekken would hit 1080p 60 on base PS4, so this is pretty surprising.
Waiting for Friday feels like an eternity with each review.
