What happen was for the first time in its life,Xbox was not release with a year head start. This meant that publishers had to create game for both Xbox and PlayStation at the same time with a similar install base. As PS4 install base doubled in size the focus was on ps4’s install base. The reason ms made Xbox1x is to have a head start to the next generation since the Xbox1 would be able to compete with the PS5 in term of specs however this time their install base would be much larger than Pla...

Meanwhile the XB1X will still have the power but a bigger install base since it would probably be out 2-3 years before the PS5.
