Microsoft biggest problem is its checkbook and it's desire to be cutthroat and at times reckless . Is guarded by suits who are all about the bottom line and trying to keep those investors happy.
Would be cool if MS invested in its game division like it does it's R&D(9.5 bil.) . It would be an awesome ,massive left to Xbox .

U do realize Money hungry Activision owns the IP.
Also comparing a platform owned IP to a 3rd party IP is way off .
