I think Sony will take a decent hit on PS5 - $499US - they'll count on game and peripheral sales in the launch period.

No - just saying, because of a higher res count doesn't automatically mean the games look better. Using the same assets - one checkerboard one native, that's just marketing speak.
HZD, GOW, Death Stranding, Spider-Man have those games covered and I wouldn't be surprised if GOT looks better than TLOU2. Just saying - not 100% believing it will, but it just might.

Your looking at a Gif that looks 10x better than the reveal trailer - I don't think anyone was very impressed with the reveal trailer.
The only 'Wow' moment was when PS5 popped up at the end.
Anyone with any cognitive dexterity would know that it isn't representative of what PS5 can really do.

I think they'll want as much under the hood as possible, they'll take a hitbon price. If they launch with 2 1st Party titles (very likely) - they can recoup some of the losses that way.
