ummm - YES! Of course it would, it would send a message that MS release a new console without properly supporting their current offering with compelling 'new' software.

More 'people' want to play PlayStation, fair few want to play on Nintendo - they grew up with them. The other 1 caters to poor folk that cant afford a decent PC and are happy playing sub par exclusives and back catalogue titles.
