The marketing deals, limited edition consoles/bundles and here comes the biggest deciding factor - exclusive GAMES.

krib - xbox is the worst performer worldwide, not just Japan. I just MS's consistancy.
Probably better to support devs around launch time, rather than waiting for sales. If the game is a dud (don't think it will be), then there is no point to buying it. And if it reviews well, why deprive yourself of a solid game to save a few bucks?
