Trophies were added this gen because a lot of games on their own have no replay value whatsoever. Games like R&C actually have replay value therefore trophies aren't needed.
Whoever's buying this for trophies is basically saying the game needs it which is an insult to the franchise. Nothing will beat the experience of playing each R&C game for the first time on the PS2.

Yes it has 300 cars but how long will it take you to obtain all of those cars? better yet will you get them all? Most people will only use about 50 and 2 out of those 50 will be used all the time.

The only things that look good in GT5 are the 300 premium cars which took them 5 years to make. The rest of the game was probably made in 4 month because the graphics of everything but the premium cars is a mess.

If none of you agree that SHIFT 2 is more immersive than both GT5 and FZ3 then there's no hope left in saving you from slavery (to Sony). You drive the car from the view of the driver, which includes anticipating turns.

I think we need harder games because everything this gen is suited to newcomers to a franchise they had absolutely no interest in (where this mentality came from I have no idea).

In the PS1&PS2 days all you had to do was take your Memory card out and take it your friends house and it was so easy and simple, but now you need a cloud to do it?
What if next-gen Sony make their own proprietary form of storage using Holographic Versatile Storage(HVS) technology to be used for game saves and other media. Then whenever you want to take it to a friends you just pop it out like a memory card.
I expect HVS to store over hundreds of Gigabyte...

Paltformers are as hardcore as FPS, personally I think Mario Galaxy 1&2 is more hardcore than COD which is probably what you play every day of every year right?
They don't read Wii articles because they're actually playing their games and don't just read about them, and they have a whole variety of them to play unlike the PS3 and 360.
I understand that multiple discs has many drawbacks, but from what I've heard people on this site hate it not because of the impact it has on the quality of the game, but because it makes them stand up, walk over to their 360 and change the disc, then sit down again.
I mean how can you complain about a process that takes about 4-5 seconds? If the discs get lost then that's your fault for being careless and not the 2nd or 3rd discs fault.
