both look really great but f7 looks better, imo. it looks sharper and more detailed. no skid marks in GT Sport and less detail... speaking of detail, even the spoilers on the cars shake in f7. The lighting looks more vibrant and dynamic in f7. can't really compare weather. i do like how GT Sport has the nice glow around the lights. I'm not sure its entirely accurate with the climate it was racing in, but it looks as if its light shot with a lens which is cool.
i mean thats cool, but I'm not sure its accurate... i mean the models we use for car commercials actually come from CAD data used to manufacture the cars and their parts. don't think it gets more accurate than that. maybe just for video games i dunno, but even the forza models in the game are downrez'd models from even more highly detailed models that they built. i also know this for a fact because we have worked on forza related material and tests. so.... i'd be curious to...
gonna be dope running on the one x.
lol
geometry. poly counts are still pretty intensive. the easy solve is to subdivide or NURBS but thats heavy load. its also the reason facial animation usually sucks in video games.
the one x will have more overhead which means more stable frame rates and higher render settings. possibly even higher rez textures.
it will run 30 but at the cost of resolution and or textures. maybe 1080p maybe 900p.
no surprise there. its not playstation related.
lol. the real reason so much hate for the xbox one x. ps4 pro isn't the best hardware but they want it to be. #powerMatters
I'm going to correct this: a sequel is made when the first entry sells a lot. That's all. It's possible for the studio to do something different in a sequel and those sales determine if there's a third. All the reasons the writer mentioned aren't necessary at all to a studio. They'll just write in whatever they can to justify it somehow.
kinda my problem/concern with nintendo consoles lately. i own the switch and its cool but they could still make the same games they made AND have more 3rd party support if they'd just make the console competitive from a power standpoint... even the first party titles could be better for it. at least have an option... like the pro and one x.
no shit. they cater to gamers. the switch caters to casual gamers and casual situations... like parties. its more common for average people to play mario kart in a social setting than say bloodborne or whatever.
New IP would be great. Then I could maybe read less internet fanboy talking points.
hard pass.
i mean.. i get it. but... how does a juxtaposition of art styles move a story along? what is the message and reason/motivation for that crash? why is it only with a dinosaur and city and not anything else? i could at least accept if ALL the worlds looked more real but its only the one. At least Roger Rabbit played to what it was. There was a reason he was a cartoon in a real world and it was integral to the story. that all I'm saying. like i said i'll still buy it and I'm s...
i gotta be honest, mario is human, but seeing him with more "realistic" looking humans is really jarring to me. its two art styles that don't blend. what makes this even more oddly inconsistent is that the other countries ARE in a more familiar art style to what we are used to. as an art director this drives me a little bit crazy as we were trained to be consistent with visual communication. it technically breaks a lot of rules. i'll still buy it cuz I'm sure its go...
while i agree this is a great game to have psvr for, they just limited the release to 1 million people out of over 100 million gamers. don't really see whats nice about that - especially since it means it will take a graphical downgrade as well because of vr.
100% agree. The PS4 is still selling well and they will ride that until it isn't. They are already the leader in sales so I doubt they are going to rush out a console to compete with the one x's power when they don't really have to. Not to mention a gen9 PlayStation released next year would be a lot more expensive than the one x if it launched so soon. The whole reason the one x costs more is exactly because of the gpu, ram etc so a full generation above that would be like a $6-...
But but but... it's an exclusive! Oh well. This genre is getting played out anyway... on both sides. I saw it at e3. It visually looks good but it also looks standard and unremarkable especially when compared to other Sony exclusive titles to be on offer.
as a ps4 pro owner i 100% agree. i was really happy with it at first but the support so far has been lackluster. i recently purchased Dirt 4 and even it lacked HDR, any resolution beyond 1080p or anything else that i could tell. a game like horizon: zero dawn can definitely show you the differences in power between the base and pro which makes it even more frustrating. i also still insist that i would have paid $100 more to have a stronger gpu, uhd bluray and maybe more ram. it would hav...
