I have a PS3 but don't mind a set top HDDVD as long as the price is right(Meaning less than $125)
Halo 2 wasn't as good as one so what makes you think 3 will be better. They are both going to be great games.

Which they shouldn't be. Average joe googles games, see IGN, clicks review. He doesn't care what the release date was considering it already passed, and he doesn't care how much power it uses on the console, he just cares how good the game is, and seeing the reviews are lower than expected, he doesn't get it, forcing companies to do better, and work longer with less people because they didn't make much profit on the last game, which makes the reviews in turn lower. Evil Cycle.

Because aside from a few Raving Rabid's and other random games, the third partys don't sell very well on Nintendo consoles compared to the people who own the consoles.
Personally I have a PS3. I like it. But competition is good right? The Wii really is innovative. I'm just more of a gamer that like the regular controllers. I have played the Wii and it was fun at my friends house but I couldn't see myself just playing single player. Just my opinion.

Trusty server? LOL you wish. I seem to remember the Xbox online is a little laggy, and that a certain update bricked a lot of consoles.....
