This game came pretty much out of nowhere with not very much hype, but it's getting comparable ratings to Halo(Not saying Hype affected anything)

They press the discs not burn them, so you're wrong. BD-+R burns, BD-ROM is pressed.
Luckily the burn speed per multiplier is bigger than DVD, which rocks. 50GB's of data in less than 20 minutes? Dang technology is coming fast.

Well I know some people who like keeping legacy hardware around(namely my dad) But I sure don't want my dusty old PS2 sitting there when my PS3 could play all the games.

Back on topic, I think what he is saying is true, I'm a big gamer and really don't like the controls that much even though they are respectable, but my brother loves it.
I'll give you price, but you can still get the 80GB in US or 60GB till it sells out in Europe with WAY better BC then the 360. Also, no matter what SCEE says, they will eventually put BC in the 40GB PS3, just like the PS1 on the 40GB.

Blu Ray is going to stay, same with HDDVD, yet it will be minimal. You may say only 40% of PS3 owners know, but that's a whopping 1.25 million + stand alone players. I think that the ONLY reason HDDVD is still in this fight is Universals stubbornness and the fact that it has the word DVD in it.
Better than the DS to DS Lite update, but whatever.....
What's he saying, is he thinking this would be PSP 2.0 with Mini Cell and Minidisc Blu Ray and Wireless N and 256MB RAM?
