Just ordered a Dell with an unknown card manufacturer, but I think it's the same as elementX, with a 512MB RAM. PC also has 3GB's 800mhz RAM for PC, Vista Premium, and a QUAD core. Too bad I have to wait till the 10th for it to get here.

The new characters on launch day was crap and just cheap IMO. They need at least 2 stages for the same price and then I MIGHT get pain.

Edit: Updated impressions. Why is it called the 9800GX2? It's two 8800's glued together. Plus, it will be limited by the 256 bit bus size. Nice one NVidia, I'll just buy 2 8800GT's because it will be the same size and almost the same power as this one for a lot less.

I don't think that's the point. The point is that consoles are supposed to be different then that. The point is for Developers to have a set power for them to use and work with for many years. Why did Sega fall again? Because they released the Saturn and then quickly switched to the Dreamcast because the Saturn didn't do well. While I agree about alienating the user base, Microsoft does have a LOT to gain, because of the fact they made the iHD(now HDi) format that is used on HDDVD's. Lot of Royalties to be made.
But HDDVD's 1x is faster( a lot faster) than DVD's 1x speed. Same with BluRay for that matter.
