Yeah, well, It's a considerable upgrade from my Dell 3000 with 512MB RAM, a P4(no Hyper Threading), and an Nvidia 5500 FX. Which could barely run Civ4 on low, with nothing in the background, with a FREAKING ANNOYING blinking mouse. IT ran the first 10 mintues okay, but once you got into the game the load time per turn was about 3 minutes.
And in the word of Weird Al, about Blu Ray:
"And another one on, and another one on, another one rides the bus"
At least they stepped up the PS1 content this week which some wanted, kind of like how we steadily got more and more demos. But no demos this week(DMC4!?). Nice add on content though.
1) PC games have been way ahead and will continue too.
2) PS3 has 512MB RAM, with a transfer rate and usually clock speed(average) greater than PC's(generally) or Xbox 360's or Wii's.

Now that really HDDVD is all but screwed, PS3 is starting to seem AGAIN MORE AND MORE like PS2. Helped mass market and new format. Started off with bad press and really, mostly bad or ported games. Sales picked up greatly at holiday.
Now I am not saying it will match PS2 or beat it in sales. I am saying they are seeming more similar.
Any type of online/PIP/Interactivity? Honest Question.
I'm betting most will say the exact opposite when something like, oh, I don't know, StarCraft 2 comes out.
I just got a new PC, Dell XPS 420, Vista Premium, Nvidia 8800GT 512 version, Quad Core @2.4Ghz, and 3GB's of RAM @800mhz. This things a BEAST. I'm running Civ 4 deep into the game(when you got more cities and people it takes a LOT more power), settings maxed AAx16, With iTunes and IE7 running in the background, and I'm using average 47% power. $1,200.

Even if they don't have an HDTV, most releases have extra content of some sort on BluRay. I personally have an HDTV and own 4 or 5 movies. Mostly it's the movies for me though....
It's pretty much a tie. I'm going to take advantage of the $30.00 off a DS lite when I trade in an SP. It's only like a $20.00 loss anyways. Then I'll have both! Need some new PSP games too....LocoRoco still as addicting as ever, plan to pick up Patapon when it goes stateside.
That movie is awesome. I don't know why, but movies seem to get more action from the public than other media. An Inconvenient Truth anyone? -PS, not saying it's true but it got more action from the public than other means.
